I work in the construction industry and due to the current accident compensation and industry standards involved here i am forced to wear a high vis shirt,workboots,hardhat etc on every site.
I get pretty grimy most days and dont really bother at all with the man-scaping(shaving etc) during the week as i usually go straight home after work and collapse after a solid day of manual labour.
During my lunchbreaks i often encounter women in foodcourts,sandwich shops etc but i feel being dressed like a regular construction worker scumbag pervert there is no point even trying to run game with these women.
I know its more about how you carry yourself and what you say rather than how you look but im curious if any of the more seasoned players here run successful game in shitty workclothes,overalls etc......

As we all know construction workers are the most blatant cat calling,whistling bunch of guys on the planet so i feel "the game" is already lost whilst dressed in this rubbish.
Its only until christmas time though as i will be studying all next year in the city with loads of free time on my hands to pursue the opportunities which the street environment presents on the daily.Not to mention be able present myself much better while doing it....

nah bro - don't even stress it. I get the most looks when I'm in workout gear all sweaty and grungy after I leave the gym.

What turns you on about a woman's appearance is NOT what turns her on. You like a girl in a miniskirt, a girl likes a guy in a nice suit, construction gear, or workout gear. My "uniform" is levis and a white v-neck and girls always tell me the love that look.

I picked up a playmate of the year wearing sweats, an army jacket, and a red, bleach stained gap sweatshirt at the airport. she didn't even seem to notice. I met the hottest girl I've ever dated while I was in a dirty tshirt and gym shorts that were a little too short to be cool, unshaved, needed a haircut, just got out of the gym and was getting a burrito at the mall.

doesn't matter. girls care about how you think, not how you look.

Im not stressing about it at all.When im not at work i look sharp whatever im doing.
I take pride in that.
Im talking about stinking of diesel/oil and being covered in concrete dust,dirt,clay,metal shavings and whatever else i have to lie in,climb over or stand in to do my job.This is no sparkling clean village people male stripper outfit and im not a big muscly guy.
Just being sweaty in sports clothing is not what im talking about.
Im on the fence regarding the "construction worker" tag for a female fantasy though after being involved in this industry for over 6 years.
I have been on sites with hundreds of contractors from all walks of life/all races and all ages all having lunch breaks at the same time right in the heart of the city on huge projects with loads of women walking around and never seen one single guy in this sort of outfit pick up a single women.
To be honest i have not made a single approach during work hours while at this job and i really do wish that i had so at least i would have something to balance my opinion on this subject,but i saw a fair few other guys make only feeble attempts with crude remarks and/or gestures with nothing but disgust and hatred coming back at them.
The whole scene is like a boys fishing trip where nobody caught a fish.....Just mad shit talking and yelling and yahoo-ing with no results or action.None of them ever had any game.
Hence my request for info from other more seasoned guys.

I put it to the test today.
While driving through the city in the work truck this morning at about 9am all three of us noticed a smokin babe walking to work.
I recognized her instantly as i had hooked up with her a few times about 5 years ago and had also spotted her a few weeks ago in the clothing store she works in.I told my workmates that i had hooked up with her years ago and they called bullshit on me so i thought what better situation to try and re-start an old flame and test the construction worker filth in one go.
At lunchtime i went into her store and said i saw her in here weeks ago and also spotted her walking to work this morning and thought i would pop in and say hello while i had a few minutes to kill between jobs, she seemed really stoked to see me and instantly agreed to meet up for a drink and to catch up.so we exchanged numbers and had a brief chat for about a minute then i said i had to get back to work but i would call her soon.
As i turned to walk out she dropped "im married now" She showed me the ring and said she had met her man just after we stopped seeing each other.
I congratulated her and and smiled and walked out.

The results involved from this one off approach dont really prove anything i guess considering i've already had my way with her in the past but it did spark me up to make a dozen or so street approaches after i had cleaned myself up after work while shopping for my nephews birthday present in the city.

I remember a really hot young girl working at my local convenience store. She ignored me but really perked up when another customer walked in with mustache, tight jeans, work boots, and a tool belt. You need to rock that macho look.

Honestly, if you're decent looking, approaching a girl as a sweaty construction worker is probably a lot like approaching a girl as a sweaty fireman. You're probably getting more bennies than you think.

Like anything, I think it's best to stand out. Whether you're standing out because you're a sweaty construction worker or because you're dressed like James Bond, you want to have something different about yourself. Just don't be the 50th guy in poorly fitting polo shirt and pleated khakis and you're going to be fine.
