Burning and Itching sensation in my legs when I run

It's always been this way. Not just when I run, but sometimes even when I walk for a long time. I hate it because I can never run more than 1.5 miles or about 10 minutes without this acting up. I want to build up to 30 minutes a day. I've heard it's allergies, I've heard it's lactic acid, I've heard a lot of things. What do you guys think it is? I've popped magnesium tabs and that helps a little, but it's not permanent.

I started jogging again probably about a year ago and was getting the same thing. You have to start off slow if its been a while for you. Go by distance and not by time. Do 1.5 miles each time you go out. Walk it the first week or two until you get used to it again. The only thing that seemed to help me was to stop anytime I felt pain like that and stretch for a few minutes then continue. Put your feet together, lock your knees and bend over and try to touch your palms flat to the ground. It'll stretch out your hamstrings and shins. It felt it worse in my shins. Also pop 2 aspirin or your pain pill of choice before you go out.

I have this. Apparently you can stop it with allergy medicine but honestly the side effects of allergy medicine are worse than just being itchy for half an hour.
