There's one that's new to me that I never thought about but could be effective. After you get the number, don't make a quick exit, talk to her for another 5 minutes. Probably makes you seem less like a dude who's just out number collecting. Like most guys, I've always made the number close the last thing I did before the exit. I'm going to try this tweak next time and see how that effects flaking.

+ exchange contacts. experiment with not using word "number". instead.. "we should meet again" or "we should talk later" and pass her your phone. this has to be done very fucking decisively like you already know 100% she's yours
+ after getting her number stay with her a bit longer. don't do that "number and bye". maybe go somewhere together for few minutes.
yup that's the message. getting the number is not some kind of peak of interaction. it's only oontact exchange. it's not a rule to leave right after getting her number. after all, it all depends on situation/circumstances.
often times i even mentioned that we should meet again/talk again and i talked more without getting #, then teased her about it, then got it and stayed with her after that. but it wasn't like the "right move" or something it just felt ok then
Several people on the forum have suggested the same thing when I was asking about failed number closes a few months ago. It seems like a good tip, definitely don't ask for phone number as the last thing because it adds pressure.
