[The Lesser Evil]

I need some suggestions building up my brand new blog ( I'm only 2 post deep). Not so much the content either. I know what direction I want to go in, it's just I've never done a blog before. I really want improve the layout and get some traffic to the blog. And someone tell me what the best way to go about contacting authors for interviews? I've had some success with some less establish author but I've hit some walls with some more well known authors. It's also important to me that I maintain a relative amount of anonymity. I'm open to suggestions.

-Too many words
- Readability is not fluid - particularly in your first post (Why Black Men...)
- Bad theme choice - Suggest something 'cleaner'
(dates are completely unreadable)

-Content needs some tweaking, particularly in the way you present it... Make it more 'friendly' and personal... (2 good examples laid out straight for you, Roissy and G)

- I suggest make it on Wordpress. They got better themes and fonts.

1) Comment on other blogs you read, frequently. Always try and make your comment worth reading. If people like your comments, they check out your blog.

2) I wouldn't link to facebook. Though it may drive traffic to your website, do you want your female friends and family members discovering your game blog? Probably not.

3) Twitter is fun and you can make some pretty cool connections with it.

4) Use relevant tags and categories for your posts. Make sure you tag and categorize every post.

5) have an RSS feed, submit it as a sitemap to Google.

Before I got my current job, I ran a web production company that specialized in SEO and social media marketing. Updating your blog frequently, consistently and relevantly tagging your posts, and having an RSS feed will do wonders to drive traffic to your site.
