When it comes to settling down, to choose your own kind or not?

When it comes to settling down, to choose your own kind or not?

Hi everyone,

I lost my old account, but since I am not into Reddit, I wanted to see what the guys on here have to say.

Like many guys here I am in my late 30s and ready to settle down now. I've had some great experiences over the years trying different girls around the world, but at some point enough is enough. It's my dream to leave city life in London and go back to the countryside now, but I can't do it alone.

So, I was curious what you all think about the importance of choosing someone who is your own nationality for settling down with?
Bit of background here: I'm ethnically British, but I've seen my country change so much over the past 30 years that it feels like a dead country now and doesn't feel like a home that I recognise as being my own. Despite what the whole woke nonsense says, there *is* such a thing as looking British (in the same way every other nationality in the world looks unique - Japan, Nigeria, Poland, Spain etc.), and contrary to misconceptions, the UK and Ireland has plenty to choose from in terms of decent looking women, who have a NW European appearance.

The problem though is, 1) education and culture has gone down a lot, and 2) what is the fate of the UK in the future? Probably not great.
In other words, do you "go home" with a fellow Brit while your country sinks, or do you just accept this country is dead and find someone from a different part of Europe to settle with?

I think the idea of finding someone just like yourself is a lovely idea, but in practice really hard to achieve. And especially in London - it's so international now. I don't know where all the "wife material" types go, to be honest, because when I go out, all I see is trash, like around 95%.

Anyway, let me know your thoughts? Maybe this topic of tribalism and settling down resonated with people. And maybe some people find it uncomfortable because Western people are made by the media to feel ashamed over having an identity, while indigenous people in other parts of the world are encouraged to continue their legacy.

Thanks for your thoughts!

Usa judio influence is going all over the west. I would say think of the future and the viability of your kids. Stay with the phenotype. Also, didn’t know the home country had any hot chicks.

Hey man!

Thanks for posting. Nice to see more and more people coming back. With new profiles but older and wiser Smile  im late 30s as well and as you got it right most of the crowd here is late 30s or higher.

How is your financial situation? Are you tied to London work/business wise, can you move around?

I've been spending plenty of time in much smaller towns ( i like coastal) as well past few winters and its very refreshing compared to major metropilis' lifestyle.

How about 2nd or 3rd tier UK? there are still some better parts comparitively. I guess the priority should be doing what you want to do and dont give up on finding what you'd like and have the life you want rural or not but where you feel comfortable. Give yourself a specific deadline to make that happen and consider what would be your plan B or C if not in the UK and is this something you'd be ready to do.

I used to live in London.

Great city - immense city.

Spark really went out post-Brexit. Whatever your politics, lots of smart educated Europeans packed up and left as result.

Club scene died.

Pint scene died (7-8 GBP now, maybe more).

Post-Tottenham riots 2012 - 2016 pre-Brexit that stretch was epic. A lot of opportunity. Global go getter city absolutely buzzing.

Then you had Brexit, Grenfell, Covid & massive inflation on an already expensive city and I think it just broke the place a bit.

Property prices in Kensington & Chelsea probably peaked in 2014.

All these apartments across the whole city with cladding or shitty lease conditions are now toxic.

As far as demographics go I don't know. I liked it when I lived there. People with ambition - that works for me.

The only places I didn't like was Peckham (weird split personality place : yuppie whites & everyone else 100% not mixing at all), East Ham, some parts around Wembley and Whitechapel (too Islamic, too much welfarism).

Whether you want to keep living there I guess it depends on the neighbourhood and do you own

Focus less on nationality and more on shared values—look for someone who aligns with your vision of home, whether British or a like-minded European who appreciates the traditions and future you want to build together.
