This has been an amazing social media experiment.  Roosh built a forum with thousands of posters and over 1MM views per month.  It was largely free of racism, because members wanted to tour the rainbow of love.  There were merely a few digs at Deebios, the obstinate "Indian Racist Troll."

The forum originally had a prominent women poster, Mrs. Chocolate.  There was crass "locker room talk" and trolling.  But I felt gaslit by all the misogyny and homophobia.  I appreciate Roissy's reactionary maxim that opportunistic feminists want to control the sexual marketplace.  But it deteriorated until Roosh blamed gays for downfall of society, as though gays discouraged women from having sex.  There was also unfortunate paranoia about false rape accusations, with no credible reports.  The forum tolerated anti-semitism, moon landing conspiracy theories, and other toxic nonsense.  There were still some weird criminal characters like Return of Kings wiki cofounder Jean Valjean:  https://rationalwiki.org/wiki/Nathan_Larson.  And let's face it, there were plenty of other criminal rapist deadbeat weirdos.  

When I started a thread asking what was worth preserving, the best I could get was Vorkuta (The Fantasist) aka Bald and Bankrupt.  He made the most popular travel channel on YouTube.  But his most-liked post was a phony self-serving account of his rape trial.  

Roosh completely changed the forum from PUA/travel to Orthodox Christianity.  And many posters stayed!  They even spun off their own ChristIsKing.cc forum.  Now nobody comes to Citron's rebooted forum.  Maybe there is a critical mass problem, or maybe the PUA/travel niche is over.  The forum never made much money.  I understand Citron's reluctance to spend $500/year to delete porn spam.

I don't have a satisfying conclusion.  Somehow, Roosh got an audience of deadbeat adventure travellers, aspiring PUA's, whoremongers, reactionary right-wing MAGA's, conspiracy theorists, trolls and internet posting addicts.  And it worked for several years.  Thanks and good luck, Citron.

I don't think this forum is worth keeping anymore, it has fulfilled its purpose already and I don't see how anyone could add more value to it. The prime time of this forum is long gone, the only reason for keeping it online is because of the astonishing amount of (old) threads that have induced thousands of men to work on themselves. Plus now it's infested by trolls anyway, people only log in to browse old threads, not to post new shit. So, if someone could just archive the whole thing and keep it accessible without permitting new comments, that would be the best decision.

It costs 42.66$ per month. Most spammers use a VPN, I could ban VPNs but it saddens me a bit as I've always advocated for the right of privacy.

Keeping it online with or without comments, it would still cost the same. At worst I can distribute an offline archive that has no search function and no user profiles, but this was always available, although a bit hidden.

Why is everyone so enthusiastic about new forums?  What do they want, and why don't existing forums serve?

This all started when Ross Jeffries read a book on NLP and created alt.seduction.fast to discuss pick-up lines and routines.  Mystery advertised bootcamps there, and Roosh became active in "Mystery's Lounge" private PUA forum.  Then everything got commercialized after Neil Strauss's 2005 book _The Game_.

Top hats and feather boas got attention, but did not seduce unwilling women.  The "Red Pill" philosophy appreciated that women have agency, and their "shit test" screens can be gamed by playing hard-to-get and imitating aloof alphas.  Roosh's blog was attractive in this setting, because it had authenticity and reality.  RVF was distinctive because of its focus on travel in an era when information was scarce.  The forum got big when Roosh used hate-click viral marketing to attract traffic.  Tuthmosis supplied articles like "Signs She's a Slut", "Reasons to Date an Anorexic", and "Girls with Short Hair Are Damaged."  Roosh didn't sell many books, but made money off ads.  Alas, Roosh wrote "Why Rape Should Be Legal".  People overlooked the parody of Swift's "A Modest Proposal", and focused on Roosh's book passages about "overcoming resistance", "using force", and targeting women who were "too drunk to legally consent". Amazon dropped nine of Roosh's books, but kept most of them, including his original and biggest seller _Bang_.  But then Paypal and Google ads banned Roosh, and Roosh did mushrooms and found God.

Early PUA forums were about self-improvement and camaraderie. Members shared information about women, fitness, money, and travel.  Mostly they offered commiseration and support.  But as forums grew, they became commercialized and infested with poseurs, trolls, weirdos, whoremongers, bitter incels, and politics.  Successful men get married, find a healthy lifestyle, and don't get career/money tips from broke online travel bums.  This space was never large.  SoSuave is still small.  Real Social Dynamics had forums to promote their bootcamps.  Christian McQueen tried forums.  NaughtyNomad and SwoopTheWorld were always small.  If it were profitable, then Neil Strauss would be doing it.  The biggest growth came from viral marketing to deplorables and fantasists who dreaming of third world whores.  The career advice was silly copywriting and drop-shipping on Ebay.

I think the original aspiration was masculine self-improvement and camaraderie.  There is a KillYourInnerLoser forum (and spinoff WinnerWithin).  But travel information might be available elsewhere now.

As Archivist mentioned the commercialization of RVF has been the beginning of the decline. You had trolls like Napoleon with crazy claims that took a pass, because they kept Roosh's readership engaged. A black guy banging tens of white women in Zagreb. If you believe this, you believe anything. Go to Zagreb, you will feel Ike a complete idiot. I have only seen one black guy both times I have been there and he looked like an alien.
I would say what killed the PUA culture mostly was the simple fact that from some point women were no longer eager to play.
Add mass African and Muslim migration, rape culture, the Metoo psyop, Covid lockdowns, war in Ukraine, cost of living crisis, and of course Tik Tok and IG..
Too many things went wrong in a short period of time and created an antigame environment. An orchestrated attempt by the establishment to isolate people even more as they replace them with third world arrivals.
Even game missions are expensive nowadays, getting an apartment in the center and going out every night and doing multiple dates costs double or even higher. But even if you can afford to do that, the pool of eager women has been reduced significantly, as well as the quality.

It seems that incels are not making a lot of effort to come up with anything new and bigger. The majority of these forums are doomed to fail because users don't necessarily have anything to contribute, and the genuine content providers simply develop their own platforms on social media. The previous Roosh forum was little more than a slow-moving chat room, and you can get that kind of thing anyplace these days.
