I'm a big fan of Roissy and some of the bloggers he's affiliated with. And I can usually see where they're coming from when it comes to controversial topics like gender or race or bipomechanics. But I notice there's a strong undercurrent of eurocentrism in their blogging universe. Does anybody else detect it? Consider this post, which was referenced in a previous thread.

Look, I get that white males in America routinely get shit on. I'm no fan of affirmative action or the demonization of the white beta male by shit-headed progressive politics. But some of the roissy-esque commentators in this community are pushing some batshit insane eugenics. It's not only offensive, but it's incorrect. According to their logic, most of the advancements in science and technology have come from western civilization. Not to downplay western civilization, but are they fucking out of their minds? The west has dominated for the past 500 years. Between that point in time and the fall of the roman empire, it was largely culturally and technologically irrelevant. Prior to the Roman empire, western europeans were a bunch of barbarians living in huts. African, South Asian, and East Asian civilizations had flourishing societies that would have seemed alien to their western european counterparts. When you look at the history of human civilization, western civilization actually only plays a supporting role.
Look, I'm not one to rule out the importance of genetics and human bio-diversity. I think certainly there are some genetic inheritances that make some groups more predisposed to (insert behavior, whether it be alpha or beta) than others, though this is tempered by a lot of noise and ambiguities. But I won't stand by and let this community be some breeding ground for white supremacy when some folks can't even get their own history sorted out.
