Anyone writing academic research papers?

I've read you can make upwards of $2500 a month writing research papers for college students. That kind of extra cash certainly wouldn't hurt me and I have the time. Anyone got any information on how to get started in this field, which sites and services to use etc.?

I'm doing it with a company Killer Papers, though I don't know if they're still taking applicants this late in the semester. They hired me in December.

The students are willing to shell out over $100 for one long paper, so the money is definitely there though it depends on how much work you're willing to do. A lot of times the students put up assignments that they want done a day or two before the due date. So you can feel free to bid more on those but I just don't like bothering with those kinds of tight deadlines.

You can make $400 a week minimum if you're willing to put in the effort. You can potentially make enough for it to be a full time remote job if you really want to, though maybe not if you live in a huge city. I'm still figuring out how to maximize the system.

Interesting. How many hours per week do you work? Remote work is the wave of the future, something to consider.

I honestly can't tell you. Lame answer perhaps. I tend to stretch my work out over the day so I'm not doing too much at once. It's hard to count. I just take an assignment or two, give myself the day to do them, and then do them over the course of that day.

$100 seems like a low amount for a full on term paper, unless they're going to let you just bullshit something out without citing anything.

It depends on the word count and complexity of the paper. If its a masters or phd paper itll cost almost twice as much as a regular college paper. Rates usually go from 5 bucks per page (275) up to 12-15 if youre lucky.

I think its a nice gig to work while its avaliable. However It might not be a stable job. When students have holidays the jobs just completely drop.

I think 2500 per month can be quite a long shot.

For $5 a page the most I'd be willing to do would be to write at a middle school level about my favorite video games. If these twats are getting away with not doing their homework for peanuts it just pisses me off more that academia is so fucking corrupt.

Also, do you get requests to Engrish up the papers for the exchange students? From my experience those are the ones that need their papers written for them.

They usually write something along the lines of "NO GOOD ENGLISH PLS".

It highly varies.

For example, yesterday I did 3 one pagers and got like 50 bucks. I have a pending 8 page order that will give 50 bucks and it is a legitimate pain in the ass.

Choose your battles, go for the easy, urgent stuff.

Hm, $400 weekly, assuming you're considered an independent contractor/1099-worker with 0 tax being deducted, isn't bad in most of the developing world. (I also assume the site makes money like Upwork by charging a commission off of every assignment accepted).

I don't know if $100 per a paper is good or not....it all depends on the length, time to research, actual writing time, and editing and proofreading.

Libertas, 2 questions:

1) How do you get paid? Paypal, paper check, bitcoin, etc?

2) How do students pay for the essays/assignments?

I guess looking back most of the time I spent on papers wasn't actually working on them, it was just worrying about doing them until the day before and then putting it out in one solid day of effort...so at that rate say $200 for a term paper would be reasonable. What kind of credentials did they want for the site? I'm confident I could get an A in anything short of advanced grad work in a non-computer science STEM major.
