“Burner” phone - iPhone

Guys - Ok I’m feeling extra tech unsavvy. Can somebody please spell out for me the best way to set up a “burner” iPhone.
I have an old 4S but will probably go buy a new one (5 or 6 I guess)on CL to be sure it is in no way linked to my account.
Extra dumb question - can’t use old SIM card from one of my old iPhones cuz then it link to me, right? So get one at Walgreens, yes?
Don’t want to purchase one through Amazon because...
What are good prepaid carriers? I assume I can prepay on these with a gift card or cash, right?
I don’t see a real need for a phone line - can get data only, right?
Will tinder allow you to use text free app phone numbers to sign up?

Any other tips for using burner iPhone forvtinder appreciated. Thx

There are apps that allow you to create a Burner number on your main phone. One of them is appropriately called Burner.

I would try that route unless there is a specific reason that you want a second physical device.

Depends on your purpose for the burner phone. In some cases, you don't want it tracked at all to your primary device.

I know a tech guy who is a bit of a player who told me that you can have multiple google voice accounts with locales set to different cities. Not sure it works for different countries. If you have a frequent travel schedule for work and game like a local in those cities, it could be useful.

I plan on exploring this for different countries to increase the odds with women who get suspicious when you have a foreign number.

There is an app called 'hushed' where you can get a burner number. You can pick how long you want the number for - ie you can have it 'burn' after a week or month or more depending on the need for the number.

Your best bet is to do a google search for pay as you go cell phone services in your city.
Try to find the one that allows you to just buy the sim card and doesn't require ID pf any kind.
These ones will require you to do some kind of setup over the internet.
This means you should be using A VPN AND TOR browser if you truly want to have it be untraceable.
Do not go to starbucks or the public library and use their connections.
They will have cameras.

I used to do this alot a few years ago. Made my life easier.

Thanks for the replies so far.

More info.

I just want a discreet tinder account and will pay for tinder gold so that I can set preferences so that only women I’ve swiped right on can see me. I’ve tried using no face pics with no success. So I figure I have to do it this way. Open to suggestions here, too.

So - if I’m buying tinder gold I don’t want tinder to show up in my subscriptions on my phone. Hence need for burner.

That said - is there a way to get old expired subscriptions to disappear from iTunes ID?

No there's not. Its a purchase history.
You'll need an entire new itunes account to avoid being found out.

I reiterate my suggestion that a very cheap pay-as-you-go mobile phone plan is you best bet if you are just gonna use the number to allow tinder to confirm identity.

For communication i highly suggest you use the same number just so if shit goes bad you can just flush the sim card down the drain and walk away from the drama.

I'm not gonna tell you how to get more pussy into your life but paying for tinder gold doesn't have the return you think it might.

You're probably better off going to seeking arrangement instead, since your focus is on remaining anonymous.

Google Voice is free, burner number is temporarily free. I believe it's easier to create multiple Google Voice numbers, but harder to create burner numbers without paying.

I use a app called "TextNow" which gives you a free number thats separate from your true # which you can use for texting/calling.

I love my iPhone but for this situation you need an Android device, you can do more with it to make yourself untraceable and it's more than suitable for Tinder accounts too.

I have a Samsung S9 that I picked up in Saudi for £400 when first released, I use it as my overseas phone and rarely in UK when I need to call someone but don't want any association to my main iPhone, I don't use it near the house (or other POIs), the SIM card is out until I need it and then I take it back out after use.

It has Tor, a VPN, my crypto wallet and other shit I need to do my job. The SIM card was purchased from a vending machine in middle of nowhere, no cameras (AFAIK) and the Google store account is connected to a false name and prepaid card that I top up with cash when overseas, the traces of real me on that phone? If there is a trace, it's 0.1%.

For a true burner phone you need:

1. Phone
2. Sim Card
3. Throwaway Email Address

You may also need some sort of payment method to sign into the itunes or google play store. I think you can use Itunes Gift Cards for this. Most apps are free, but it can't hurt to have something in there. If you are hardcore, the phone and sim card should be bought in cash by some homeless person (i.e. not you). You need to also discreetly set up the burner email account.

I guess you can use wifi and something like Google Voice, but you need to authenticate that Google Voice number with a real number somehow. Also, some services won't allow google voice if they authenticate a phone number (mainly financial institutions).

It really depends on how badly you don't want to be discovered. There are so many issues.

If you are serious from staying as off the grid as possible, read this book:

If you just want a burner tinder account, just make a fake facebook profile to connect to it. You don't really need a burner phone for most uses unless you fear Tinder being subpoena'd to reveal your identity. Just don't let facebook sync with your contacts. If you want to be most comfortable, just buy the sim card and a burner phone. Use the phone number on the sim card until it expires and then use wifi after that.

A cheap one, so you're not tempted to do stuff like check your email on it or shop on amazon.

Oh yeah, if you are uploading photos, make sure you turn off EXIF Data or take the photos and upload them away from your home.
