Do you audio record your daygame approaches?

I've been daygaming for a long time and have been trying to get over some sticking points that have been holding me back. I'd like to get some good audio clips of my sets so that I can get my daygamer friends who aren't facing these sticking points to review them and give me some feedback.

But I can't get good quality audio. I tried to use my phone but when it's in my pocket the audio is very low. I tried using the mic on earphones connected to the phone but the quality still isn't great and I don't like having the earphones wrapped around my neck when I'm approaching.

If you record your approaches what do you use to get crisp and clear recordings? Could you recommend any links on amazon or ebay for a recording device that has worked great for you?

Use an audio recording watch. You can hide it under your jacket sleeve if you are worried about what it looks like. I tried one to bug a corrupt boss and it worked brilliantly.

Try different (better) headphones or just get a proper lavalier type microphone that can be attached either over or under clothes. If you mount it upside down, it'll reduce plosives, having jacket unzipped will help also. Get good recording app with high sampling like 48KHz and you'll have fantastic audio to listen to.

How about in the summer when you're only wearing a thin tshirt no jacket wouldn't that kind of microphone attached even under the tshirt be quite visible?

Which recording app do you use?

Easiest method would be to get a high quality headset with a microphone that has some noise reducing features built in. You can than set up a recording app that runs in the background.

A lot of the spy/surveillance equipment sites have the ball point pen type of audio video recorder. Looks like an ordinary pen in your shirt or outerwear chest pocket and you can download to your laptop. A friend has one for business purposes and he paid about $90.
