Got one as a pet once and never looked back!
Rereading this post I see it was a lame attempt to be sarcastic due to not having had my morning coffee.
What I meant to say is that to choose a dog for pickup is 100% the wrong reason to choose to get a dog.
A dog is going to kill your pickup more than it will aid. You'll have to take it for daily walks, feed it, take it to the vet, get up early to walk it, etc. This is a huge use of resources that can be used for other things including work, gym, socializing, etc.
Dogs are a good acquisition for someone who has carefully thought out the benefits outweigh the costs, but a poor choice for everyone else.
They're sentient animals and unless you can care for it and give it the attention and time it needs you shouldn't get one; certainly not just to pick up girls.
If you want a way to pickup girls with an animal here's a thought: volunteer at a no-kill shelter who are always looking for dog walkers. Not only do you then get to walk the dogs in parks but you'll also have a great charity story that's sure to tug on the heartstrings even the most cold-hearted of people.
What Monster said. Assuming you aren’t a girl troll OP getting a dog to help you with pickup just shows a lack of game. Dogs are so much more than that and just having a dog to help you get laid is unfair on the dog.

Why don't you read through the thread before replying? Your post contributed absolutely nothing to the discussion.

If you can find a breeder the Eurasian Pussy Hound is quite popular.
Rodger that!
Dogs are great for practicing frame control.
"bitch come here"
"bitch sit down"
"bitch quit yer yapping"
You are their fucking lord and master and if they act out of line all it takes is a stern look and snap of the fingers and they cower in shame.
For pickup you can't go wrong with a lab or retreiver. Pitbulls or Rottweilers won't help attract most girls, they need something cute and cuddly to pet.
BUT, don't make the mistake of getting a dog that girls usually own (mini poodles, schnauzers etc.) thinking it's attractive. You need a manly breed.

Cool story bro.
Sorry I triggered your small dog complex.

All kidding aside, that French Bull Dog/Chihuahua is an accurate trend comparison.
Especially here in Southern California - can't tell you how many of those Chihuahuas ended up abandoned or in shelters after the trend died down, you're already seeing some Frenchies getting the same treatment.
I won't advocate getting a dog for women alone but wanted to chime in anyways.
While they are more than a handful and not for the inexperienced dog owner, Huskies are major chick magnets. I think Spitz breeds in general (Huskies, Malamutes, etc.) will get you a lot of attention from people in general including women.
Huskies have personality, I mean they are not just your average eat, sit, shit and go to sleep dogs. A few of them will mimic some human expressions and put on a show which will get you some attention even from the most uptight of women. I took care of one for an old friend when he was out of town and the thing might have been a ball of energy but the facial expressions, mumbling words, the way it socialized with people and its demeanor had a couple women remembering me for having it. At one point it actually howled out a "No" when I tried to feed it something.
Lots of shedding, stubborn personality, hyperactive and very independent-minded but it will get you noticed. They will also test your patience, not easy-going and obedient like a Golden Retriever.

It sure did, exposing your millennial snark shows us that you aren’t ready for a dog.
It’s solid advice tight there my friend, you want a dog for pick up, I’m telling you that you don’t need a dog, just better game.
Make sure to post back here when you réalise a dog didn’t help you and now you have the responsibility of a dog for the next 10 years.
When I was in Budapest I was walking with my friend her dog, some Hungarian bred and a lot of girls came to me, regardless if they had a dog or not. It was remarkable as girls wouldn't approach me if I'd be walking without a dog.
The breed of dog is less important than your ability to train the dog.
The dude with the shit tier dog that sits and shakes hands on command is getting the lay over the guy with a gold-tier dog that acts like its jackass owner.

The public will judge a man by what he lifts, but those close to him will judge him by what he carries.

Fair enough, and yeah they do seem to be in fashion at the moment. I was more interested in the English Bulldog more so than the French. Either way I don't care so much about what is fashionable and not, I just want a nice dog.
Reason I want a smaller dog is because I move and travel a lot, so I want one that can comfortably live in an apartment (even though I currently don't). A smaller one (under 20 pounds) can usually be flown inside the cabin too so it gets easier and cheaper to travel or move with it.

If a chick ever rejects my sexual advances, I'll call on doggo to hump her face. That's one of the first things I intend to teach it.

Lots of truths in this thread. If you are looking for a good dog, and a potential wingman specifically under 20 lbs I would seriously consider a Cavalier King Spaniel.
Cavalier King Charles Spaniel
