To truly understand this story, a little more detail is in order.

According to what I've been told by an actual Japanese person, NGT48 is like the female Japanese Menudo. They have 48 members and they all get the boot eventually around 26 or so. The fans are primarily men, many of whom are in their 40s or even 50s. We here can all imagine what sort of man that might be and what he does does with his time.

The group sells a lot of CDs to these men. In many cases one man will own several dozen copies of the same one. Why?

Because each disc is also a ticket to meet the girls at a meet and greet type event.

The men line up in hordes to meet these girls. And they get to shake their hands. It is not uncommon for the girls to come out of these handshakes with a sticky gooey palm coated in semen.

I forget the name of the mastermind behind this, but he's one of the biggest entertainment moguls over there.
