I've been slaving my ass off in the Soviet Socialists Republic of Cuckholdery, and it has been depressing to say the least. I got fat, gents. I'm fat. It's hard to say. It feels like crap.

I'm working on it as much as I can bear while I'm here, but I need a reset. I'm willing to go anywhere in the world for a month to just work out, eat healthy, and be around healthy people who are working out. I don't necessarily want to spend all of the $5000, but if there is an excellent option then I will consider it.

My first thought was just to go to Chiang Mai, rent an apartment for a month, train muay thai, eat healthy, etc. Which sounds good. But the boredom I'll suffer from being in a tourist zone will lead me to overeat. I need a controlled environment.

I'm thinking something like club med. Or a yoga training. Something in a controlled environment where it's expected that you conform to a group regime. I want to be a part of something.

Martial arts would be preferred. If there is a renowned martial arts school where I can live there and train 5-8 hours a day with them, I'd be all for that. I have martial arts skills, I'm just overweight right now.

If it's slightly longer than 1 month, I'll consider that as well. For immediacy's sake, I can get away for a month. Later down the road I'd be able to do more than one month there, if it's kingdom come.

Not aware of your nationality, buddy, but here's some ideas.

Colorado, New Mexico or Utah: These are all tremendously healthy states with people living active lifestyles all year round. Huge healthy/ natural food movements in these states.

France: There's a saying that French women don't get fat. I think that's because everyone takes so long to eat. Also portion sizes at many French restaurants are pretty small. Add to that the fact people walk everywhere, you can easily loose weight in France.

Switzerland: Everything is so damn expensive you don't have much incentive to eat.

If you can find any dudes from the EE/ FSU/ Balkans, and do what they do, you will get into top-notch shape. The way these guys work out is insane.

Fly to Florida, pay me the 5000 dollars, and I'll make you skinny in two days or less.

Once you sign my contract though, you are prohibited from complaining about my methods.

On the cool, if you really want to lose weight you need to set up a sustainable lifestyle that will support your goal. Why are you gaining weight right now?

Serious answer:

Go to Phuket more specific to the village of Chalong. It is a little village dedicated to fitness training and Muay Thai boxing. Restaurants there all cater to healthy nutrition and all people there living healthy.
Sign up for a membership at Unit 27 or Titan Fitness. Do their Crossfit and Hiit Training sessions twice a day and mix in either a private coaching lesson or a Muay Thai class in on of the Muay Thai gyms.

I did this for six weeks and got in the best shape of my life.

^^^^

What he said.

But only if you're disciplined. Otherwise you'll be banging hookers on Muay Thai alley and not going to class.

If you find discipline tough, go to a more remote muay thai camp. PM me if you want suggestions.

You'll drop 6-10kg easily training every day in the heat of Thailand. Then go bang some hoes.

Was also going to suggest Chalong. Lot of good healthy restaurants, ton of like minded folks, gyms and MMA are both plentiful and decent, beach isn't too far away for some R&R as well.

But if you don't think you can resist the whole Patong being 20 minutes away thing that could be an issue but if you don't get a bike and just live on the Ta then Patong is pretty inaccessible.

If you're going to train in Thailand then give yourself a week or so to get over the jet lag, get used to the tropical heat, food and get drunk/bang skanks before you start training. I did it arse backwards, made great gains by training muay Thai but lost it all after I started partying.

I don't get the point of blowing money on traveling for a month under the guise of losing weight. If you want to travel, then do it. Go to the travel forum for some ideas and advice in places worth visiting based on your desires and lifestyle.

Where should you go to lose weight? Kaotic already gave the perfect answer: the gym and the kitchen. If you are legit fat and not just 10 lbs overweight, then 1 month is not going to do shit anyway.

If you are dead set on traveling and losing weight, only recommendation I could give would be travel somewhere cheap so you can rent space low cost and eat healthy for pennies on the dollar. SA and SEA come to mind.

Lose weight at home before you go, travel is for eating, drinking and fucking.

I think it's easier to be disciplined in your own city, save your extra cash and miles for a trip when you're fit and feeling good. You can easily get fit without travelling, regardless of your local weather, it can be -30* C outside but that doesn't stop you from eating healthy and driving to the gym.

You could even just to a keto or RFL diet and to drop some fat rapidly then worry about gains later.

You could just try eating less wherever it is that you are at. Then when you want to go on a training 'vacation' you'll be able to work out and not be winded or miserable the whole time.
