The irony is all the guys hilariously criticizing the wife without knowing all the facts.
Sorry you don't like it but I still hold my views. Of course he's cheating on her. Everybody already knew that. That's a given. Powerful men ALWAYS cheat on their wives, they always have and they always will. Always. It's completely normal. In most countries in most of history, women would have their own affairs on the side, and they would STAY MARRIED, at least until the kids are older than 18, in order to not destroy the lives of their children.
I think it's hilarious how, in this thread, over and over again you guys can only keep talking about about HER and the MONEY. Never a mention of the health of the kids. That's sad and a reflection of how deeply that even you guys on RVF have drunk the sick and weird American divorce narrative.
Tell me your opinion about what's good for the kids. Let's hear you talk about them. I don't care about the wife, or what is "fair" or "not fair" for her. Or about his affair.
In theory as a parent, she should be willing to give her life to save one of her children. Many parents donate kidneys or work themselves to an early grave to protect their children. And this stupid woman isn't willing to just keep her family together for -- what -- 6 more years till the kids are older? She's the richest woman in the world, can buy her own damn houses all over the world, has her own jet, and she's not wiling to stick it out for 6 years?
I say this again: she's a lousy mother. She's a typical egotistical asshole american woman who puts her own ego above the lives of her children.
There is ALWAYS some justification.
This will destroy them and they will never, ever forgive her. She will be lying on her deathbed and the last thing one her children will whisper to her, as she's slipping into the void, is "mom, you fucking ruined my life...I have never forgiven you and I never will, and any children I have will know what you did."
She will say "no, that's not fair" but she'll realize she can't speak. Her kids will be staring at her with anger as her vision fades. She dies burning with regret and shame. Nobody is sympathetic.
Multiply this by hundreds of millions of fathers and mothers all over the USA, this is the scenario that will be playing itself out on a vast scale. The legacy of "no fault divorce".
