A pair of dress shoes; check Carlos Santos if you’re in Portugal.

It will improve your appearance, your confidence, your success with women, your sense of style, your discipline (because you need to care for your shoes), and your credibility in business.

The key aspect to look for in almost any item you purchase is durability.

I'll emphasize that I am not a materialistic person at all, in fact I am the opposite and have been living out of my suitcase for the past years. But when I do need material items, they better be durable.

High quality, durable items cost a smack of cash in the short term. In the long run however, a durable item will save you money simply because it does not need to be replaced often.

Here's a few examples:

Winter coat

I have a winter coat I bought for close to $400. It has a sort of timeless look while still being slightly edgy. But more importantly, it's functional and warm as hell. I've had this coat for almost 10 years now. It was used extensively in the first couple years I owned it but less often in recent years, as I am not often in a climate that requires a winter coat anymore. But to this day, when I do need it I wear it.

Luggage

Better buy the good stuff. My day pack + suitcase cost me just under $500 total. This seems expensive "just for luggage" but they are also of high quality material, practical, will last forever and there is more than enough space to last for weeks. Research some top brands and go for their top products and you'll be fine.

Sports shoes

Another item where you can reliably limit yourself to the top few brands and say "the more expensive, the better".

For $300 you can get yourself a pair of running / lifting / crossfit shoes or whatever your flavor of sports shoes is. My last pair of running shoes cost about $250 and lasted over 5 years (intensive use).
