The absolute state of modern comics!

< Yeah - that is shit. His new one Alt-Hero seems to be marginally better, but for that cash he raised in his kickstarters, then he could hire the best artists which were fired by DC and Marvel.

Obviously the market rules are still valid and even among those alternative houses you will see the ones remaining that provide good products. Diversity and Comics - Richard Meyer has started his own house while Ethan wants to start an indie comic company. Maybe some of those guys will unite their resources, then be stronger together, but Vox comics are amateurish for now. He seems to have jumped on the band wagon when he found out that there is money to be made there.

The comic looks as if it was drawn and written by a rookie amateur artist in the 1960s.

Jim Jefferies and Comedy Central's hit piece on Richard Meyer.

Funny how Jim never mentions the abysmal sales of current comics. True to SJW strategy: 1) Ignore/Dismiss the root of the problem; 2) Victimize someone

Ah, light at the end of the tunnel! Or at least a spirited fightback.

Thanks to the magic of fundraising, it seems that this is really happening;

I'm not sure about the artwork (though it has grown on me), but I love the sentiment behind it. The same for Ethan Van Sciver's Cyberfrog and Vox's Alt-Hero stuff; the more the better. I've been keeping half an eye on all the 'Alt-Right' comics and while it all had a shaky start, the quality is definitely on the rise, despite their lack of funds. It also has a raw freshness about it that appeals.

And as Delingpole states in the article; 'It will annoy the hell out of all the po-faced leftists who think that popular culture belongs to them alone.'

From the article;

Quote:Quote:

It’s scripted by comics legend Chuck Dixon (the creator of Bane), with art by Timothy Lim (Thump: the First Bundred Days) and colors by Brett Smith (Clinton Cash Graphic Novel). And the high concept is just perfect: it’s like a mash-up of Aliens, Independence Day and Starship Troopers with a bit of anime (Robotech; Star Blazers) and features all your favorite characters from the Magaverse (Scott Adams; Sebastian Gorka; and, obviously, the Donald…) wiping out aliens and Making Space Great Again.

and a rallying cry here;

Quote:Quote:

“At the moment, the media, pop culture, and Hollywood are dominated by people who hate us — James Gunn and Disney, the Marvel SJW crowd, and so on. We’re over half their audience, yet all these pedophiles and creepy weirdos do is look down on us and treat us with contempt. The comics industry blacklists talented creators just for the crime of having conservative values, but we’ve come to the conclusion that if the industry doesn’t want to make content for conservatives, we’ll build our own industry. Our project is made by and for people who are part of the MAGA audience. It’s a morale booster. It’s a love letter to MAGA.”

He might not be everyone's cup of tea, but there's no doubt that Vox is doing impressive things with his comics.

This panel from Alt-Hero:Q particularly floats my boat. It's perfect;

This is an open question since I don't really follow printed comics but...what are the current demographics? The medium is supposed to be for kids but based on the content these days it sure seems like the primary demographic (the remnants as it were, since the medium is in its death throes) are 20 somethings, and as such, chock full of SJWs and other deviants, hence DC black label and the batwang.

I could just as easily say the same thing for videogames or "genre" movies. What used to be the province of young kids has now been ceded to adults who are in effect kids who didn't grow up but merely learned to swear and fixate on political drama, violence, and sexuality.

I'm just wondering what's left of entertainment that is purely the province of kids and only kids because they kind of need to have a sandbox that isn't riddled with graphic sex, violence, and political indoctrination.
