"Butterface" definitions, people!
Start here if you want to perform any competent analysis.
"A woman that has a body in great condition, but whose physical attractiveness is lessened by her facial features."

This seems to support the usage here (ie above). But wait, there is another definition offered in my google search:
What is a "butter face"? - Yahoo! Answers

Top answer: a face so nice you want to eat it up even though it will make you fat and give you heart attacks.
The first is a put down or aesthetic criticism, the second is praiseworthy.
BUT WHICH IS IT, REALLY?
The slang appears to be a phonetic portmaneau:
"Chick with a hell of a nice body, but the face is ugly.
She looked real good... but her face (butterface)" [ie, "BUT, look at her FACE!"]

The non-slang term assumes the opposite valence.
Does anyone else see how easy it is to talk past each other without useful and relevant details to know which usage is correct?
For me, butterface is a girl with a nice body but not so nice face.
Everything, butterface (but her face)
