Safety seems to be one of the primary factors that deter people away from Colombia. How have fellow RVF members experiences been this past year?
I've heard gringos get their drinks spiked with burundanga, scopolamine etc.
Keeping your guard up and street smart habits probably necessary.

Ultimately, we should care more about being effective than simply nobly intentioned. It is not enough to dream well: the true measure is what we achieve.

I try to warn guys that these countries are third world countries for a reason. They’re gross, impoverished, and dangerous. Yes, the quality of women is undoubtedly higher, not to mention the cost of living is unbelievably low, but these things will come at the expense of your safety.

Colombia is great. The weather is warm, the women are hot, the beer is cold. You can dance the salsa or reggaeton. Lots of great fresh fruit juice options too.

Yeah by no means am I saying Colombia is bad. In fact I'm planning on going there this fall. Just precautions like any other non-first world country. Went to Russia last year and the Siberian small towns were sketchy a lot of the time.

What do the deaths of a few commies have to do with us horny gringos chasing beaver? Ya Colombia is a violent country with a high murder rate, so what?

A bit of a stretch to link Jungle Marxists to serial killing Prostitutes in nightclubs. I know feminism is a huge rage but it's practically unheard of in human history for women to use murder to further a political agenda. And if they really wanted to bring down capitalism I am sure it's just as easy to assassinate lower and mid-tier bankers (instead of foreign men 99% of whom are leaving within a few days).
