New Netflix Series: The Staircase

Just finished watching this. Was great, but not as good as Making a Murderer for me. Making a Murderer seemed to have a new revelation every single episode that pulled the rug from under you. The Staircase was fascinating but fairly linear.

Checking this thread, it's great to see that others have noticed the change in his daughters over the years (up-talk and coloured hair).

Now that the show is over and having done some searching I can see that it was very one-sided indeed. No mention of the debts (both father and son), the affair that Peterson had during the making of the show with one of the TV crew! Also, that the lawyer (Rudolf) had his wife working as a reporter covering the trial, and she actually passed messages to jurors asking for interviews! Also, the son had at one time tried to fire-bomb a university and bombs were found at his home!

There was also no mention of the strangulation injuries up until the last episode! And the 30 plus injuries to Kathleen! From falling down the stairs!

I think he was guilty as hell. What are the chances of two identical deaths in one person's life involving 'loved' ones falling down stairs! The numerous injuries, the blood!

But...... as others have said, if I was a juror I probably would have found him Not Guilty. Because his guilt just wasn't proved during the trial and there was more than 'reasonable' doubt around it.

I knew he was a liar from the first ten minutes of the first episode where he described how he and his wife of many years would 'talk for hours every night' before going to bed! Yeah, right, fuck-off.

EDIT: I would love to see a documentary from the point of view of the sister-in-law, Candice! She was only in for a few minutes but she wiped the fucking floor with everyone and never backed down one bit over the years.

EDIT 2: The Owl Theory!? Utter nonsense (though scarily more plausible the more you read about it...)
