An odd disparity whereby she only received ~15000 votes from NY14.
Yet she can amass 3.8 million Twitter followers.

These people are all propped up. The globalists find a good stooge and print a pile of money to use to drive media focus to make them appear to have organically become popular.

The wage is already 13.6 per hour so I doubt 15 per hour will have much impact. Mark Dice really looks stupid here. Annoying how many people keep walking into her traps. She might not be the brightest but neither is her competition.

I guess it's a good thing that the working poor don't typically do their grocery shopping at airports.

I don't really understand how you come to $30 per croissant if the minimum wage is raised to $15.

I'm not a baker either, so I really don't know if it takes more than an hour to make a single croissant.

I guess I'm just not intelligent enough to be a conservative memester.

I'm pretty sure even if I were a billionaire I would be physically unable to pay $7 for a croissant.

In the restaurant industry, labor is about 30% of input costs. It's probably about the same in bakeries, or a bit less because it's self serve/counter service with no waiters, maybe 25%. So let's say wages double from $7.50 to $15.00, you'd have to raise the price of a $3.00 croissant by $0.75 to $3.75 to make up that increase, roughly. If wages go up from $12 to $15, then the price increase would only be by $0.75x(15/12)=$0.19. You will cover the raise from $12 to $15 by charging $3.20 for a $3.00 croissant.

Airport businesses charge more because they have higher rents (exclusivity deal) and less competition, and have a captive audience, similar to ballpark stalls. Monopolies in a segmented market that cannot price discriminate are going to cater to the wealthier segment. So in places like NYC where there are millions of wealthy business travelers, it makes sense to gouge.

BTW Dice is a deep state shill, 100%. He was trotted out after 9/11 to sell a particular narrative.

I like Dice, but he's basically an entertainer who is very fun to watch but never produces anything original. And he definitely acted like a boomer-sperg on this one, a better reply would have been A) Nothing at all or at least B) "Stop telling us how much muffins should cost".

Does nobody understand sarcasm anymore? Do you really think that Mark Dice is so stupid that he actually thinks a minimum wage hike would change the price that drastically?

I agree that he shouldn't have said it that way (only because people are so damn thick skulled), but AOC's complete lack of awareness of WHY the croissant costs that much should absolutely be pointed out. It's like saying that women make 73 cents on the dollar versus men without pointing out WHY that is. It's completely disingenuous.

You know what? I really wish AOC was brilliant and had sound policies (or at least wreaked havoc exposing the corruption and inanity of DC. It would be so very impactful having a sort of attractive younger person spitting fire in DC.

Asked about new and outspoken Democratic House member Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, Ryan said he gave her tips about being a good member of Congress, and “I don’t think she really listened to a thing I said, you know, ‘just take it easy, just watch things for a while, …”

You know what, I can't argue with AOC on that one. You have to wish Trump had done the same.

He probably asked her "hey, kid, wanna fuck Trump?" and having no idea what the uni-party was she mistook him as speaking literally.
