Ok so I'm pretty much a really bad noob at talking to girls.. this is pretty much the 5th girl I texted after getting her number.. so I'm really lacking alot of experience and already a soph in college.. anyways.. I met the girl at a party and we danced and made out like crazy.. didnt even hear her name when she said it.. (we didnt talk at all)... i got her number cuz she said "i gotta find my friends".. but that was after like 20 minutes of being together.. so anyways i forget her name so i end up texting 3 girls asking who they were because i was "cleaning up" my phonebook..
without further ado.. the text between us 2..

me: "hey who is this again, im trying to clean up my phonebook a bit "
her: Haha well who is this
me: Dan *****
her: Okay, i'm meg *****, we met at RU(college) friday night but i go to (different college) haha
me: Haha yes lol I had 2 megs so I was trying to figure out which ones which xD (i lied because i didnt want to say i forgot her name)
her:Haha oh okayy makes sense
me: Haha so yeah I had a pretty fun time. Did u end up going back to (her college)
her:Ha not that night but yeah i'm back now
Me: literally right after u left the cops came.. so I suspected u were maybe working undercover
her: Haha nope it wasn't mee
me: OK I'll believe ya I say we meet up and hang out sometime next week. What do you think. It'll be fun
her: I don't think I can, this weekend is parent's weekend and the next weekend im going to pittsburg to visit friends.
me: Ok. take care.
her: Haha okay you too, text me if you are ever here!
Me: Haha definitely. And if you come to (my college) hmu
her: Okayy

opening text was very bad.

pretty much saying "im a player and id dont even remember the bitches in my cell, which bitch are you again?"

i wouldnt have said "I say we meet up and hang out sometime next week. What do you think. It'll be fun". sounds to needy and soft.

I would have said, "Im planing on going out sometime next week, let me know if you would like to join."

Then you made another bad text with the "Ok. Take care" right after she said she couldnt hangout.

That pretty much says "Ok fuck you, bye".

Dont want to leave a convo hanging and ending like that.

Surprising, she responded very well to ur mistakes other than the declining to hangout part.

Most girls would have shut you down after the quick "Ok, take care" comment.

Seems like she is sending mixed signals.

Like I said I dont hardly ever ASK females to go out with me on a specific night.

I like to let them hit me up and ask me to chill if and when they wanna hangout.

So my usual line is this "Im doing "x" on "x" and hit me up if you wanna join/hangout.

This pretty much means, I got other options and if you wanna chill great, if not great.

This is just how I operate.....

I dont like to be needy and ANY remote way. And I like to give off an air of im busy and have many plans so if you wanna chill you gonna have to show me and work for it (even if that might not be the case that weekend) My goal is for the females to seek me, not the other way around.

People can always find ways to fit you into the schedule if they want, and damn sure can fit you in in 2 weeks.

95% of the time its like kickboxer said. It was a polite way of saying or hinting that she isnt interested and doesnt want to hangout with you.

I would have not texted her back after that point. But unlike kickboxer i would def not text her back in 2 weeks, or any weeks for that matter. fuck her. if she want to hangout let her text you.

I avoid this all together by never asking in the first place.

Succintify your text game; why use 9 words when you can use four? Example;

Texting came around at about the advent of my game stepping up another level, so initially it was like learning to walk again.

Aloofness, succinctness, saying less than is necessary, fuckup avoidance...they apply in the F2F and on the phone, they also apply on text. One-word answer text game will work better than dramatic monologue text game 10 out of 10 times.

Always some scheduling reason which is a total, total, total lie. The problem is they are quite creative with it. It took me about 25 years to realize:

Sounds like she you were a random drunken party hookup. She was just being friendly and had no interest in seeing you again. I agree with the above posts, make some changes to your texting game and learn to understand what their text responses actually mean. Most of the time, if a girl doesn't remember who you are after 1-2 texts you're way beyond getting back in. Not saying it's impossible, but it's a lot rarer.

This is a lot like getting a number from a chick in a club. You can grind, makeout, whatever, but if you don't bang her that night it's probably not going to happen. Getting numbers in those situations (clubs / large house parties) are virtually useless in my experience. Bars and small social circle parties can be a different story, it all depends.

It is what it is, that girl doesn't mean much to me. I have problems getting into social circle parties as my social circle is still sort of expanding and im trying to learn social dynamics.

I wouldn't sweat it. It's enough that you're putting in the effort. Keep it up. Next time push for the SNL with the next lizard.
