Also, in the last few years I’ve noticed a marked decrease in sexualized and ‘offensive’ costumes in stores where I live. Has anyone else noticed this?

Nah over here it's not unusual to see slutty costumes (they're even marketed as such) hell every year I see a good number of people dressed as nazis!

Tie between Saucy little devil, nurse with white lingerie or schoolgirl with a tartan skirt. All wearing heels.

One of the best times to pick up as girls want that one last bit of fun before settling down for the holidays and winter.

Fair point. I haven't seen a decrease in women using Halloween as an excuse to dress slutty, just a decrease in it being marketed that way. Five years ago I remember going into a halloween store and at least half the costumes being in the 'adult - no kids allowed' section. This year it's been hard to find anything like that.

Pretty simple: cheap serape over a t-shirt and jeans, giant goofy Mexican straw hat, and an empty gallon milk jug hanging on a piece of twine.
