Jariel, what is your proposed solution?

Urban is right, blacks WON'T get reparations. Blacks waiting for reparations is like not going to school based on the remote possibility that someone will ring one's doorbell and say "Congratulations, you just won 50 million dollars."

Harping about it will not get anything done. There is no mystery about the reason blacks are in the situation they are today.

So what do you think the next productive step should be?

My point wasn't that Blacks should be fighting for reparations. His response was basically get over the fact that you're oppressed, and deal with it.

I was countering that no one else in society is ever asked to do that, and used the fact that to this day Jewish people are still receiving reparations for the injustices done against them 66-78 years ago as an example.

Today, well for starters, Black people need to to completely abandon Christianity and the Democrat Party. Preachers are nothing but hustlers who are living the good life thanks to what is put in the collection plates, and in the process, they're continuing the message from the slavemasters of long ago, which was, take your oppression now, and Heaven awaits for you. And the Democrat Party has hustled them for votes, publicly displaying fake white liberalism, and privately destroying them. Many of the worst cities in this country have been led by Democrats for at least the past half century.

Second, they need come together and stop trying to get theirs individually, as if money and opportunity are scarce commodities. Jewish people don't do that, nor do Asian people. They educate themselves, and they look out for each other when it comes to real business opportunities, and they get real money, not fake rapper money, and not fake pro-athlete money, which is typically gone within a few years of their careers being over.

Ultimately, without economic empowerment, which doesn't come easily from just white employers giving them dead-end jobs, nothing will change.

Life is unfair, but people usually get what they deserve or put in (at least in America inmo).

You would be correct if everyone was given equal opportunity and ultimately some people proved they could be successful while others failed, but that's not the case.

People of color in America are losing the game before tip-off.

I think solutions that start with collectivism are basically a waste of time. A person cant force others to be collective....

People need to individually get their shit together, and also need to be helpful towards others (all others, but especially ones who look like them and are from the same place as they are).

Thats what African American (first gen), and other immigrates do. As a second generation, I can say thats what happens. There isnt really a united immigrate front, just people working hard and helping each other when its needed or when they can. Its also typically family / regionally / tribe based.

jariel, playing the game from 15 points behind, sure beats playing with 4 people or from 59 points behind, or with 1 leg, or no arms.

I have been all over this planet. Despite what they are telling young gays these days, It gets worse my friend far worse. We got to play the hand we are dealt, and in the US most people get a decent set of cards. I wouldnt put my cards back and redraw another hand from the deck of 6 - 7 billion cards. Sure you could be Warren Buffett, but the odds of being a starving Indian, African, or Asian are pretty high. Its just not worth the risk inmo, but perhaps there is a white card in there for you or anyone else who wants to redraw....

Perspective.....

INMO most African Americans, and most Americans (sorry meant not all) in general have no idea what real hardship looks like. Perhaps that progress.

The point is that you are dealing with theory and I am dealing practicality. The history lessons are nice and all but just like the current USA economy, the "applied/practical" folks are the ones working. Therefore, it is time for black folks to find practical paths to better their situations.

I haven't seen a practical statement from you this entire discussion.

You said "we" in one of these posts, so I'm guessing you are in fact black, and I'm astonished at your ignorance. No black person should be saying forget history, let's just deal with the present. You'll never hear a Jewish person say forget the Holocaust. You'll never hear an Armenian say forget Armenian Genocide.

You have to understand your history so you can forge a path to success going forward.

There will have to be "mindset" changes in order for folks to come together. Often times, the reason that folks get into the "I'mma do me" mindset is that when trying to bring along/mentor others, those "others" may not share the same drive or work ethic.

Getting away from "popular culture" could help...as why I referenced Hollywood. Let's take Asians for example (applies to a few other cultures too). In Asian culture, it is OK for a group of family members and extended family members to live under the same household. Those 20-something males and females of that family are JUST FINE dating folks who ACCEPT them living with their family. Now with American culture, a 25 year old guy still living with his parents is going to struggle with game. Therefore, he will have to burn finances renting an apartment until he has enough to own a home.

Here is the trick...which has to be tied to the main theme of Roosh's forum because I HIGHLY DOUBT Roosh wants his "game" forum turned into a "grass roots movement" of social ideas for only black folks....

Many of those cultures that are OK with living with family well into adult years usually date among themselves. That totally clashes with what we talk about on here about gaming.

You misread. I didn't say people need to pool and share resources. I said people need to get together and create ideas, start businesses, etc.

Is what the guys at Facebook did collectivism?

Black people at best can say "I have a good job", what the fuck does that mean?

We should be aspiring for more than just a good job. There's a limited supply on those, and with more free trade agreements coming down the pike, the job supply in this country is going to continue to decline.

I'm not from this country, so I don't need an education in what hardship looks like because I grew up in it. Obviously people in other parts of the world have it much worse, but I'm not there, so I have to look at the situation I'm actually in.

More than likely, I am probably close to 1.5 to 2 times your age, so I have heard the history lesson about 100 times. There comes a time where one has to work with the dealt cards than complain about how the cards were dealt.

As for solutions, some are fundamental.

1) If you are NOT wealthy nor have the political power, you will have to adhere to the rules established by your resident land. Not only that, you will HAVE to be more on the straight-and-narrow than your counterparts while gradually being better than them over time. The best scenario that I can give is a 100-meter race. If one sprinter has a 50 meter head start, that means the sprinter without the head start will have to be that much better to catch them. Just being equal and/or "doing what they do" is not enough because (in my scenario) if both sprinters are moving at the same speed, the sprinter without the head start will always be behind.

2) This one relates to #1. STOP referencing "what THEY do" especially if it is negative. Often times I hear my own black folks say "well white folks are having kids out of wedlock", "well white folks are doing cocaine". I COULD GIVE A FUKK what negative act they are doing. Because of OUR situation, those negative acts affect us more than them. We have to stay on the path which will allow us to catch up....not be status-quo.

3) This one is a little hypocritical of #2. Whatever practical path that works, it does not have to be labeled under a culture. It is WHATEVER works. If the path involves what many white successful families do, then do it. That includes when to have kids, the approach to education. the handling of finances, etc.

You're on some defeatist shit.

If everyone just worked with the cards that were dealt to them, there would never be change.

When has just rolling with the punches ever worked for anybody?

Obviously, you did not read #1 of my solutions. If you don't have the financial or political power in the USA, it will be hard to advance. Therefore, we must take steps to get the financial and political power. More than likely, it will have to be done gradually (generation by generation). Blacks do not control Wall Street nor the military (and only 12% of the population) so we cannot just TAKE the power either.

Again, this is the U.S of A....financial and political power is what works here.

A bit off the mark but if a black person from Latin America comes to the U.S.A, does the US census list them as black or as hispanic?

Spoken like a man who has never seen a ghetto in America.
Don't be fooled there are alot of starving kids in Western countries, in Canada the number is high and America would be no different.

The reason so many people are obese in America is because of poor nutrition, healthy eating does not make you fat.
