So the past year and a half have been down years for the heavy equipment selling business here in Mexico. From what my contacts are saying, in the United States it isn't all that good either. Just wondering if anyone has any insight on this...

What markets are doing good right now?

What equipment?

I don't expect things to pick up over here anytime soon, so I need to find more markets and expand.

I know a guy that sells cranes in Mexico. Last time I was there he was doing really well but that was years ago.

Usually a slow down in heavy equipment sales is an indication of coming recession.

Definitely agree.. odds are it will happen this year yet.

It seems like a hard business. My dad sold semi trucks and it wasn't a grand life. Trucking is always in need but I would guess you'd have an easier time on the corporate leasing end, then buying/selling to independents. Financing alone and chasing down the cash is a nightmare in itself.
