Charlotte Datasheet

Hope it's OK to provide a datasheet with my first post! Been lurking here but hope I can contribute. Bare with me as it's my first time doing a datasheet...but I'm a well traveled 27 year old white male so I think I know what I'm doing, haha.

There aren't many Charlotte threads on here so I hope this helps. Honestly I much prefer these mid size cities for nightlife and just life in general. Nothing wrong with a NYC but these cities are much more livable.

I lived in Raleigh for 1 year and this was my first trip back to NC since then. I was pretty excited. NC/Southern girls are sweet and approachable. This trip was recent, June 2017.

Quick overview: bars/clubs close at 2am, and this is one of those cities where it's only super busy on Friday/Saturday nights. You will see action during the week, but it's not that busy. Also, as is common with mid size cities, most girls will not be out alone but with their friends.

Areas: Everything revolves around Uptown for nightlife. There is also NoDa/Plaza Midwood, just a few bars out that way but if you are looking to pull or have a good time then you will be in Uptown.

Getting around/day game: I stayed in a hotel 1 block from Epicentre, they aren't so expensive compared to other cities. Did not need a car in this case. But Charlotte is a very spread out city. Not many areas to day game...you pretty much have Uptown, NoDa, and South End. So focus on night game here.

OK, the nightlife spots to hit...

Epicentre: Everything in Charlotte revolves around the Epicentre. It's like a big 4 story complex with escalators/stairs that houses the majority of the nightlife in Uptown. People also hang out in and around it. Excellent place to bar hop and pick up. Sure it reminds me of Vegas or something with how purposely put together it is, but you can't go wrong.

Good bars to hit up in the Epicentre are: Howl at the Moon, which is a dueling piano bar. Very cool they have a house band, people dancing, etc. This is one of the better places in Epicentre. Some other places are Tin Roof, which is like another music type bar. I actually did not spend too much time at Epicentre as I will explain, but those two places are good. There is also a rooftop bar there but I did not go.

Tilt on Trade is also a good place. It's a very narrow dive bar with a DJ and small dance floor. It is not at Epicentre however. But the Epicentre is best if you go there without a plan...see which places have lots of activity, find who's standing outside, etc.

OK, will save the best for last...

I spent most of my time at Roxbury, which is a nightclub 2 blocks or so away. I am much more of a club guy than bars, so this worked for me. It's like the only good nightclub in Charlotte. It's only open on Friday and Saturday nights. They only play 80's and 90's music. 2 levels, first floor is the main area with a bar and tables/couches. Below is the big dance floor, which also has a bar! Dance floor is really big and gets packed. They also have a back patio that has a bar as well.

One of the coolest clubs I've been to, and I pulled from here on both Friday and Saturday. I had mixed results at Epicentre due to lack of busyness/other factors but I killed it here. Direct game works best. I'm from Florida initially and in NC that always helps me tons as there are so many people that move from FL to NC. My pull on the Friday night was with a brunette from FL, next night I got a local girl.

Again, almost everyone will be out with their friends. But girls are very approachable. I'd probably go back just for Roxbury as it was one of my favorite clubs I've been to anywhere. However I wouldn't purposefully plan a trip to Charlotte. It's kind of dead during the week. Most guys don't have game though, it's a lot of bankers and local guys.

Great place to go out on Friday/Saturday nights, as with most not too large cities in the US. I actually thought Raleigh was better overall, that could be due to having NCSU not far from Downtown...so it's more lively during the week. Charlotte is more of a business city. There just isn't much separating it from many other cities, but it's a good place for a quick visit. Roxbury made my trip and I'd like to make it back there eventually. It's funny because I actually thought I'd just be at Epicentre the whole time.

I plan to hit some other similarly sized cities soon! I can do a Raleigh data sheet but it'd be 2-3 years old, however I plan on going back there. Love North Carolina.

Good sheet - can you share with us details to judge your success - how old are you, how good looking are you, etc. Is Roxbury easy to pull from or were you at the top of the food chain?

I wouldn't say it was easy to pull from, but it depends. For me it was. Club game? Do you dance? Comfortable approaching sets? I'm 27, white, good looking, dress well. It's not an upscale club but I'd definitely say I was in the top end. Epicentre was still cool, but clubs is where I thrive.

First post, just joined like last week. I'm from Charlotte as well.

I've been hitting up South End as it's for the more young professional crowd. Good early drinking area due to a huge number of breweries. Tyber Creek Pub and Gin Mil are my go to.

Noda is like the hipster version of South End. Blind Pig is really the only good place.

And from my experience in Plaza Midwood, it seems to have bit more "grunge" feel weirdly. But i've only been to Thomas Street Tavern, which usually has some very attractive women.

I've actually been avoiding Epicenter lately as many see it as a bit "ratchet" these days.

Thanks for your post and welcome. I went for lunch in NoDa one day, but wasn't there or any of the other areas you mentioned at night. Personally had a blast in Charlotte though.

I'm in another Southern city now and will contribute another datasheet.

TL;DR:
Women are very attractive in Charlotte, though not very Southern due to a lot of transplants. With manageable competition, good infrastructure, pleasant environment, and a diversified economy, while not as good as Dallas, Charlotte would be a good choice for gaming and working on creating a location independent lifestyle.

Introduction:
I went to Charlotte Eater weekend of 2017.

Girls are very attractive in Charlotte, with pretty faces and OK to good attitudes. There is competition but it looks like it can be managed. It has a very diverse economy from banking to manufacturing, making it look like a good place to establish oneself financially and look into making oneself location independent. As well, much of the city is very pleasant, with a well built and maintained central business district and leafy green residential neighborhoods. It has probably the mildest climate for the USA east of the Rockies.

Let's get to the part everyone wants to read.

Girls:

Physical:
Charlotte women are very attractive. While the top ones did not match the top of Nashville, the average ones slightly exceeded Nashville's. The white ones are noticeably more attractive than white girls from Atlanta.

I don't really recall bumping into many black women, so I cannot really comment on that.

Attitudes:
If you're looking for Southern Belle attitude, you're not going to find it in the city. There are a lot of transplants. That being said, I did not find it bad and got a couple of IOIs, though I got no where near the number of IOIs that I got in Dallas.

Competition:
There is definitely significant competition there. While not as bad as Nashville, it actually felt worse than Pittsburgh.

Where to find the girls:

Uptown:
Charlotte does not call its central business district downtown. They call it uptown, which can be a bit confusing at first since in most US cities have a downtown before they have an uptown.

There is a very large nightlife complex there called the Epicenter. There was definitely a lot of quality talent when I went.

As well, there are bars and restaurants throughout uptown worth checking out.

The light rail going South West from downtown:
There is a light rail that goes from uptown to the Southwest neighborhoods of Charlotte. It looks recently gentrified and has quite a few bars and restaurants. On a weekend night, there is definitely quite a bit of talent there. However, it struck me as a bit empty during the day.

Thompson Park shopping area:
This is just south east of uptown. It has a Target and Trader Joes. There was definitely some talent there and struck me as a good place to day game. I got one of my best openers there.

Queens University:
It is not to be mistaken for Queen's University in Kingston, Ontario, Canada, one of the birthplaces of game 1.0 and maybe the worst small city/large town for guys in North America (think a miniature Toronto crossed with Ithaca, New York and West Point).

Charlotte's Queens University is in a wealthy residential neighborhood a few miles south from uptown. Unfortunately, I was there Easter Weekend so the place was pretty empty, but the few girls I saw indicated that it might be a good place to day game.

Southpark Mall:
This a large and high end mall south of uptown, further away than Queens University.

I visited the mall on a Saturday to see if it might be a good place to day game. At least when I was there, I wasn't terribly impressed by the talent.

Boring but Important Stuff:

Getting There:

Flying:
Charlotte has one of busiest airports in the world with direct flights to most if not all major US airports. It has a few flights to Europe.

However, due to a merger between US Air and American Airlines, it is almost utterly dominated by American Airlines. I have never seen an airport so completely served by one airline. I was able to fly out with Southwest, but I suspect flying from many destinations will be expensive due to lack of competition.

As well, the airport has poor connections to the city. While a major highway and a railway from Uptown go directly by it, it has neither a proper auxiliary highway nor rail service to the terminal. I suspect that the traffic can be really bad at times.

There is a bus (5) that goes to and from uptown. I did not use it, so I do not know how good it is.

Driving:
Many highways intersect at Charlotte. North Carolina has some of the highest quality highways in the United States. I can say from experience driving a BMW is a real treat on NC interstates.

Parking did not seem to be any more difficult that it would be in a typically large American city. While it has heavy traffic as any big city would, it is much better than Atlanta or Washington, DC.

Train:
If you are coming from the NE Corridor, there is actually a very nice train called the Carolinian. It leaves from DC between 10 AM and 11 AM daily and arrives in Charlotte in the late evening. As well, there is a local train, the Piedmont, that runs several times per day between the Research Triangle and Charlotte. If you have a hotspot with unlimited data, you can get a lot of work done while traveling, which is difficult on a plane and impossible by car. There is also a train called the Crescent, but it arrives in the middle of the night.

Where to stay:

Uptown:
There are many hotels to stay that are very reasonably priced for a major American city. Uptown will by far provide you with the best logistics.

Getting Around:

Uber:
Uber was very affordable in Charlotte. I would recommend using it.

Public Transportation:
If you are going to party in the light rail neighborhood I mentioned, the Light rail is a good way to get there. I did not take any buses, so I cannot speak for their quality.

Should you go?

Should you go to game?
If you live within driving distance or can score a cheap plane ticket, yes. The women are definitely of high quality with reasonable if not great attitudes. While there is competition, it did not strike me as especially bad.

Should you move there?
If you can get a job that pays enough to cover the cost of living, yes. Charlotte has a diverse economy and looks like a good place for establishing a career and working on becoming location independent. In addition, it has maybe the best climate of any city in the USA east of the Rockies. Unless you are determined to pursue gaming in other cities and countries with frequent flying, I would pick Charlotte over Atlanta though not Dallas.

Conclusion:
Charlotte girls are very physically attractive with decent to good attitudes. While there is competition, it looks like it can be dealt with. It's is definitely worth considering visiting and even moving there due to its diverse economy, pleasant layout, and very nice weather.

I can vouch for Charlotte being a good place to run game. I lived there for three years, and there was plenty of women that are easy to game. Your competition is either boring church guys or uptight bankers. From a quality of life standpoint, the city sucks. I was in law enforcement there for a few years. Violent crime has exploded, rent is high, and the city does not have much southern culture to speak of. I lived in Raleigh for awhile, and that is a vastly superior city on all fronts. The girls are even hotter and easier than charlotte. I would rate Raleigh as a true players paradise.

I currently live here, so I can concur with what has already been posted. Most of the women are transplants or children of transplants,(Raleigh is where you will find you Carolina Southern Belle) and Uptown is the main place for night game. I would add that the last time that I was out in Plaza Midwood I expected more of a hipster vibe,(grunge was a good description) but I was surprised in that there was a lot of good looking girls who were a lot more refined than what I was expecting. I will add one thing, the light rail is not something that runs from UNCC on the north west side all the way down to the south side of town. The good news is that there may be a few more UNCC girls who go out at night as all UNCC students get a free annual light rail pass with their student ID. It is also easier to get to NoDa if you want to go to the hipster part of town. The bad news is that you will have more UNCC dudes uptown as well. Anyone with tight game wont have a problem, UNCC is not know as the school where the smart kids go to in NC, but noobs will have more competition to deal with if they try to hang out with the young crowd. The part of town that the rail goes through Hill Valley(thugdom), so that is another issue with the rail.
