While I know many of you prefer longer-term rental apartment housing when you travel, I can only assume a few of you have strong opinions on hotels.
I've had good experiences with JW Marriott and Marriott. I once stayed at the Ritz Carleton and that was a whole other level. The amount of successful, good-looking, well-connected and interesting people that I met at the lounge bar alone was insane.
What's your go-to?

I prefer smaller boutique hotels myself. If you have the cash to splash and wants to stay at one of the big brand hotels nothing beats W when it comes to party vibe and beautiful people.

A lot of people don't seem to know that you can get 1 night free for every 10 nights you book via hotels.com. That gives you wider choice than staying with just one chain, but almost as good rewards.

Intercontinentals, for no reason other than I always have a free night certificate to burn and an excess of points sitting around.
