Why you don't settle lawsuits (Fox News Edition)

Now that Fox has settled multiple sexual harassment lawsuits, Sean Hannity is next on the list.

As has been discussed on this forum, even if Sean's advances did take place, hitting on a woman in a very direct way is now harassment.

Globalist corporations usually settle, because they have infinite money - never mind whether they make officially profits or not, their owners have infinite money.

Sexual harassment lawsuits don't hurt them, they hurt the small and medium businesses and individuals more and that is why the laws will get stiffer and stiffer. Occasionally a big corporation pays, but again - they can afford it.

If the evidence is strong enough, settlement is the wiser move, otherwise its a more expensive loss in court. Of course, the concept of "Harassment" is bogus, but law is power, not morality.

I think this goes beyond the issue of settlement vs non-settlement.

I think what we are seeing here is an evolution of how various Democrat factions are looking to solve political disputes. Since the Democrats can not win through elections, various factions are looking to silence opposition by any means necessary.

These lawsuits are all about beating down Fox News until they either run out of money or stop promoting views on the right side of the political spectrum.

This is more about silencing opposition than about anything moral or provable harassment.

The word "harassment" is easily one of the most overused and misunderstood words in the English language. I'd estimate that maybe 1% of acts which people call harassment fit the legal definition.

Didn't David Letterman go through something like this a handful of years ago? What did he do differently to get off squeaky clean?

He wasn't a conservative, hence free pass from MSM.

Ah - by the way - sometimes they use those fake sexual harassment suits to get rid of a popular TV anchor.

Girl has sex with the guy, girl gets paid to lie about sexual harassment, girl gets paid again when the settlement comes. They get rid of a public figure - otherwise they risk alienating the viewership who like the guy.
