I did some searching and I did not find any threads about Crimea, a bit surprised.

I planning about going there very soon for like a month. I have relatives and friends there so here's what I know about the place. Many people in the world think it's a warzone or a closed military area or something like that but it's not true, some tensions exist yes some military vehicles here and there some big ships and huge missiles but it's really nothing. Probably there aren't any American/British/Turkish or any other sex tourists and if there are 101% sure it won't look like Odessa or Kiev or even worse Prague nightlife sausage fest which is already good thing.

The cities are pretty cheap depends which city, some cities can be a little bit more expensive than Kiev but almost the same as Odessa. but overall really cheap if you are a foreigner, average monthly net salary (after tax) is around $250 which is crazy, I can make that in Israel in 1-2 days, so being foreigner can be plus also I think they would be somewhat shocked to see foreigners because of that poltical mess, sanctions and shitty economy, people there only thinking about getting out.

Cities are beautiful too, really beautiful, amazing beaches reminds me of Saint Petersburg and Cyprus/Malta/Greek mix, rich history for Crimea very interesting, there are Russians, Ukrainians, Crimean Tatars and some Belarusians, it's a nice mix. People there can be a bit too much nationalistic because of the recent stuff that happened and happens there, nonstop of Russian state propaganda and military parades/rallies and men with uniforms etc. I have a Russian passport and I speak Russian fluently German too if needed, I am myself a good looking, white, green eyes, brown hair, around 180cm, I am sure won't have any problems there.

Rent is also cheap hotels too, look for good deals because some are very expensive and some places won't show any listings at all beacuse of the Russian sanctions, I read about how Airbnb and Priceline joined Expedia in halting Crimean travel bookings.

Note - It’s illegal under Ukrainian law to enter internationally recognised Ukrainian territory through a border point that isn’t currently controlled by the Ukrainian authorities. If you do so, you risk arrest or a fine, and you may be subject to a travel ban. International border points that aren’t currently under the control of the Ukrainian authorities include all air and sea ports in Crimea.

I spent a week in Yalta in 2012. Good time, there are a decent amount of couples traveling there but there is still some single chicks there, there is definitely hook up potential + the wine is awesome , very beautiful place

I was in Crimea in 2013, right before the revolution. Visited Yalta, Yevpatoriya and Simferopol. It is really a location you should go to after you've gotten a girlfriend to check out the nature and historic sites but not to hunt.
Simferopol is the biggest city and has a nice pedestrian downtown with some good cafe action. I spent only 1.5 day there but did manage to have a quick tinder date. Saw quite a few exotic looking Tatar girls and generally more women than guys in the cafes so if one has a couple days in the city evening game would be recommended. English language proficiency was very low though so make sure to brush up on your Russian.

Going further south Crimeas main resort town of Yalta has a very nice Lenin Square and boulevard which in theory should be great for day-gaming, the problem is vast majority of girls appeared barely 18 or high school age which is way too young for me. Very few ladies in their 20's who seemed single, most appeared to be in mixed groups or were couples. However they are there and are world class in terms of beauty, here's a photo below from my personal archives:

Night life in Yalta is lacking unfortunately and concentrated among restaurants. There is though a great bar on Moskovska street called Robinzon with a roof deck that I would recommend for night gaming. I'm sure Crimea has changed for the worse now with sanctions still going on against Russia and Ukrainian beauties no longer able to visit it. Until the bridge from Russia to Crimea is finished (sometime in 2018) the flow of tourists and single women will continue to be just a "trickle" of what it used to be before the revolution.

Great info, I think it's the best time to take the advantage of it. Now that there are almost zero foreign tourists only Russian and Belarusians tourists. Lots of girls and mostly old men and very cheap stuff, it could maybe be the hidden gem of Eastern Europe who knows.

If you are from USA there could be a problem, the US government made statement about Ukraine/Crimea travel warning.

If you don't want to get blacklisted or maybe banned by the Ukraine government you would need a special permit to visit Crimea, and you can go there only through checkpoints controlled by Ukraine. I have found on the website of the border control service.

I've heard that they currently don't let anyone without a Ukrainian passport cross the border from Ukraine. Also the Ukrainian government has no way of knowing that you visited the Crimea if you fly in from Moscow since you don't get a passport stamp for it or anything. I'm not necessarily recommending that you do that, but people do it all the time without getting banned from Ukraine.

Also if you are from USA you would need to take a flight to Moscow anyway because of the sanctions. There is no way there are flights directly to Crimea from USA or Europe.

Please note that nationals of Argentina, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Brazil, Chile, Columbia, Fiji, Guatemala, Israel, Korea, Macedonia, Nicaragua, Peru, Uruguay, Venezuela do not need a visa to visit Crimea (for trips lasting less than 90 days). Nationals of Cuba, Ecuador, Montenegro, Serbia, Thailand, Turkey do not need a visa to visit Crimea (for trips lasting less than 30 days). If you are not a national of these countries, you will still need to apply for a visa.
