What's your role? Is It The Right One?

What's your role? Is It The Right One?

What are we doing here and out there?

We've all before said things like "Live everyday like its your last", if you want to feel motivated in life. This is excellent mindset advice, but it's a bit abstract.

In our sphere, each man faces life in his own situation and has specific tools at his disposal. From there, he determines what his role will be and if it makes him want to live every day like it's last.

To this extent, a few questions:

- Are we in the RIGHT role?
- What are we doing with it?
- Are we moving the Overton window?
- Do we feel fulfilled and motivated?

Think of everything from the meme spitters, online shit posters, and social media warriors to our own philosophers, self-improvement strivers, "figureheads", forum contributors, family men, lurkers, and those who prefer an in-person approach or just enjoy good conversation. (Some of you who do livestream hangouts and really enjoy them.)

Depending on our role, WHAT are we doing with it? Are we making a difference? Are we of better use elsewhere?

A lot of us I believe are at the "What's next stage?" Many of us have internalized game, enthused with the post-election stage and politics, etc.

We know feminism is a pox on society, that degeneracy is everywhere, and that the corruption of our universities and culture isn't going anywhere, but how many of us have done as much as we can with the time we have to contribute to our part of the fight?

Is the time we've spent and where we intend to spent it misused? Honestly, I'm not entirely sure. A variety of experience is where so much of the wisdom of the RVF community comes from. Without the experience, we wouldn't be here today sharing what we know. (AB, Scorpion, Quintus, Roosh, and many others.)

Put simply it's so easy to point out the problems, but the fix is long term. Often, it's like we are beating our head against the wall. Yes, alternative media is spreading, but trying to combat the sheer amount of outright falsehoods we see, experience, and hear on a daily basis seems like a futile fight.

Are we missing something? If so, what? Time investment in the right people? Differing tactics?

Am I alone in this manner of thought?

I understand what you are saying. There is something missing. We are not producing anything.

The problem isn't immigration, or Islam, the government, liberalism or anything. The root cause is a lack of Masculine Energy. Western Culture, Arts and Civilization all developed from Masculine Energy and a culture that celebrated it and held up the hero as the ideal man. The ultimate expression of human existence is great Art and Religion, and it is telling those things have declined in parallel with our culture. In the long-term, the culture can only be won through Art (Poetry, Music, Literature, Drama, Sports, Rituals etc).

Our society is culturally dead because our Art is dead. Art is just the proper expression of certain truths and values in an entertaining fashion. Poetry is Art but Prose is not Art. In Prose you are only explaining, justifying, describing things. In Poetry (as in all Art) you are creating, showing and demonstrating.

Great Art is also runs hand in hand with Masculine values in a society, and it is no coincidence that the most Patriarchal/Warrior societies produced the greatest Art (Ancient Greece, Rome, Vedic India etc).

A true great culture, one we wish to be part of, cannot be without great Art, because Art is best way to express those values on which the society is based. Poetry is the greatest achievement of Man.

Although not strictly Art, in todays world the medium is Movies and Music (Music Videos). This is what reaches and affects the people. In the old days it would the poems of the great bards, now it is Rap videos.

Look at this song, and the performance too. It is big, grand and Masculine. It has meaning, power and can affect people. It is a creation, a result of Masculine Productive Power, and it stands on it's own as a great thing. It is no practical scientific creation like a car, or smartphone, or a space shuttle, yet it somehow surpasses all of them in it's greatness. The car, the smartphone and the rocket spaceship will all be surpassed, but this song wont. It was written in 1740, but is still fresh and good.

Our culture needs more great Art such as this, without this there is only an empty culture.

When Britain first, at heaven's command,
Arose from out the azure main,
This was the charter of the land,
And Guardian Angels sang this strain:

(Chorus)

The nations not so blest as thee
Must, in their turn, to tyrants fall,
While thou shalt flourish great and free:
The dread and envy of them all.

(Chorus)

Still more majestic shalt thou rise,
More dreadful from each foreign stroke,
As the loud blast that tears the skies
Serves but to root thy native oak.

(Chorus)

Thee haughty tyrants ne'er shall tame;
All their attempts to bend thee down
Will but arouse thy generous flame,
But work their woe and thy renown.

(Chorus)

To thee belongs the rural reign;
Thy cities shall with commerce shine;
All thine shall be the subject main,
And every shore it circles, thine.

(Chorus)

The Muses, still with freedom found,
Shall to thy happy coasts repair.
Blest isle! with matchless beauty crowned,
And manly hearts to guard the fair.

(Chorus)

Rule, Britannia! Britannia, rule the waves!
Britons never, never, never shall be slaves.

I hear you. The first thing that came to mind was an exchange in the movie Vision Quest where one character tells the other that his problem is that he has not yet found his place in the circle. If you feel compelled to re-examine your role with a sense that you could do more, be more effective somehow, then I think you are on the path of growth. Your discontent will become the engine of change.

I like that Kavi brought art into the subject. In tying it back to what you’re saying, I’m now asking myself if my art expands the Overton Window. (Neomasculine art makes dominate eye contact with the Overton Window and says “Welcome to MY frame!”)

Are you alone in these thoughts? I hope not. Even after someone finds their place in the tribe/circle, it’s good to revisit these questions. The occasional self-check is important to make sure your actions stay in alignment with your values / purpose / role. Good post!

"What's your role?"

Born, raised, and educated to be a productive member of society. Raised to believe if I complete all the "checks" on a list I would be happy.

A lot of people must have been handed the wrong list because they're not happy.

I am not happy so I'm checking out to travel/work abroad.

I'm tired of feeling like society is one big gaslight experiment and I'm the victim. The truth is that men and women are the victims and everyone's stuck in the "crab in a bucket" or "monkey's and ladder" mentality.

An example of this gaslighting is being told dating girls under 21 is wrong. If I ask why the explanation is because I can't do anything with them and it's gross.

Yeah..ok, so all I'm supposed to do with girls is drink at bars and go to dance clubs?

Here's a short list of things you can do with someone who can't legally get into a bar/club: arcade, bowling, church, restaurants, movies, games, coffee, rock climb, lift weights, run, swim, water parks, roller coaster parks, festivals, family events, putt-putt, laser tag, soccer, basketball

If she's legal age and she's having fun and I'm having fun....take your gaslighting elsewhere!!

Here's Roosh talking about "Why are women being educated?" https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=A-oXLuSlKqM&t=0s
It's an example of a twisted society telling everyone what they should do and if you question it, you will be made to feel like you're the crazy one.

It's normal for women to own and take care of pet dogs and cats in their early 20s, but god forbid they actually want a child vs a career. But don't question it in public otherwise you'll risk being marked crazy.

If you never find a masculine role model or website like this you either end up agreeing with everyone else or you are very alone.

Is my role the right one?

After years of work I own a "rented" lifestyle. My friends, family, and girls think it's glamorous. According to society I am doing the right thing.

Truth is, I would trade it all for a good women who's worth having children with.
