I put in an indicator of interest for the Lyft IPO. Let's see if I actually get an allocation.

Take a look at the upcoming IPOs of Zoom and PagerDuty. I would much rather invest in them than Lyft or Uber.

I like those much better too, but there is a big difference between getting shares in the actual IPO vs. buying on the open market. Fidelity offers IPO allocations if you have an eligible account, and if they have shares available for your account tier. I would only buy Lyft if I get an allocation. There's no way I would buy it on the open market.

I've been buying Boeing and Facebook.

Social media is going nowhere and Instagram is king. The ads are powerful. I buy shit off their all the time.

I picked up a small position in Boeing at $376. I let the naysayers and a couple pilot friends instill some fear in me and didn't pick up more at or below $370. While a lot could change in this narrative I don't think they are a bad bet at all.

Anyone looking at Smart Global (SGH)? They are down 40% in the last 30 days and 23% since they missed revenue yesterday. I was looking into them and thought they were a good buy at $25. $18 -$15 is very enticing, even if it took a quarter or two for growth to resume. I'm thinking of seeing if Monday drops below $17, maybe I'm being too greedy and should buy today.

Thoughts on SGH and entry point?

Got a small allocation of Lyft shares at $72 and sold at opening for $87. Valuation is absurd. Fidelity may blacklist me for future IPOs because of their "no flipping policy", where they want you to bag hold for two weeks before you sell your IPO shares. Ridiculous.

Celgene was an easy arb bet if you got in before today.

Without some kind of collusion to raise prices together. Lyft will be bankrupt especially if there is a recession coming

For REITs, I've owned ticker symbol O in the past. REITs might be a super good bet if we see interest rates drop further. I wonder how Euro money will come out to the US if German bonds continue to dive negative

I am going to invest in some of the upcoming IPOs. I'm looking at Airbnb, Palantir, and Slack, but may consider others. These companies are high-growth stocks and have relatively less overhead costs than many other companies at the same valuation levels. More importantly, they have economies of scale and propriety technology.

3 outstanding 'Software as a Service' companies announced earnings yesterday - Zscaler (ZS), MongoDB (MDB), and Okta (OKTA). All of these companies are growing like a weed.

I beleive MongoDB is the pick of the bunch. Developers love MongoDB - they have downloaded more than 30 million copies of the company's free database since 2009, and over 10 million copies in the last 12 months alone.

Mongo is disrupting traditional databases like Oracle, so the growth potential is massive if they are successful.

Mongo just crushed it with their latest earnings report. This stock is going much higher tomorrow.

MongoDB and Okta are great and valuable companies with solid products/services. I've been holding both on and off for over a year. MongoDB has been my #1 champion stock.

Barely holding $70 now, glad you got out and with a 20% profit no less!

Chipotle Mexican Grill (CMG) looks good at $345.

In 2 years everyone will have forgotten the current Norovirus scare.

Not arguing that Chipotle (CMG) isn't a good buy at $345, but I personally think it is going to drop even further. If they miss earnings, which are reported tomorrow it'll take another dip. Also they are involved in a class action lawsuit with some 10,000 employees of due overtime pay. Regardless of how the lawsuit plays out it's still bad publicity at a time when their stock has already dropped 30% in 2 months.

CMG keeps making ATH's, $710+ today. Another one I wish I'd have bought more!

Played some $FTR, came out on top.

Looking at low RSI stocks to throw cash in for a swing, got my eyes on $XPO

Only thing is it just fell through support so bottom hasn’t hit

Bought Twitter at 34 and it's around 40 now due to earnings report and growing user base. I may hold for awhile. It's undervalued compared to other bigsocmedia.

Bought Booz Allen Hamilton in mid-2018 and it's up a ton now. Holding that one too.

I sold my CMG position on Friday at $709. A 105% return - and it took less than 2 years [Image: smile.gif]

Shopify is an amazing company. I am up well over 100% on it now.
I will increase my holding on any decent pullback this year.

Here is their 2015 IPO roadshow video :

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QYl8iwD-...e=youtu.be

An article on their culture :

http://www.theglobeandmail.com/report-on...e21734931/

Shopify (SHOP) continues to crush the market, and reported last week :

Quarterly highlights :

Subscription solutions revenue $140.5M, +40%
Merchant solutions revenue $180.0M, +58%
Monthly recurring revenue $44.2M, +36%

Shopify shares have now increased 247% from my original post on them.

I think Facebook are kicking themselves for not buying this amazing business several years ago when it was much cheaper.
