Executive Summary: Much smaller and colder than I expected. There are some really, really hot girls... and that's about all.

Night Life:

The famed Arkadia Beach was a major letdown. Both at night and during the day. All of the nightlife is on Arkadia. Don't bother with the city center. There were only 5-6 clubs that had anybody in them. Let's see if I can remember them: Western, Itaka, Ibiza, Secret, and Moscow.

Western and Moscow sucked. Itaka, Ibiza and Secret were good. Secret is where I picked up the only girl I hooked up with while I was there. I approached the hottest girl I've ever approached in my life in Itaka on a Wednesday. She was super receptive but didn't speak any English and quickly lost interest. That was the story of the trip pretty much. There are other bars and clubs down there, but they were all pretty much empty or not worth going to when we were there.

The nightlife runs Wednesday through Saturday. Not sure about Sunday, Monday or Tuesday. I heard that on any given night, at least one club will have people all summer long. But it rained those days when we were there so we didn't go out (the clubs are open-air).

In the winter, I have no idea what they do. Maybe they all go to the city center. But seriously, why the fuck would you go to Ukraine in the winter?

The Women:

This is really the only reason I could possibly give someone to ever go to Odessa: the girls. Not all of the women in Odessa are stunners, but the ones who are, holy fucking god, smoke trails behind them as they walk past you. In any given 24 hour period, I'd see 3-4 girls who were hotter than pretty much anything I've ever seen in the US. And yes, that includes Miami, LA, NYC and Vegas. MAYBE on a good night at a top place in NYC or Miami you'll see a girl of similar caliber (note: one girl). In Odessa, you'll see a handful each night. While I was there, my girl told me that Odessa has more international modeling agencies per capita than any other city. No idea if that's true or not, but I believe it.

But that's about it. None of them speak English. In my entire time there, I met literally two people who spoke English at all. One was a 40-year-old man in a bar, who was actually very cool. And another was the girl I hooked up with but didn't lay (she was too smart for that).

Women in Ukraine are social-circle oriented. They're conservative. They're traditional. And they're less aware or interested in the outside or western world than Russians or other nationalities. What I'm saying is, being from the western doesn't buy you many brownie points here, unless she speaks English, of course... which none of them do.

Honestly, unless you're at least conversational in Russian, I can't tell you it's worth it to go. There's nothing much to do there, the food and weather sucks, the beach sucks, and no one speaks English. And after a while, seeing all of these smoking hot women, tall, thin, long beautiful hair, high cheek bones, perfect asses, perfect lips -- who don't speak any fucking English and don't even care to try -- you just start cockteasing yourself by being there. So I holed up in my room the last three days. Ditched my girl who wouldn't fuck me. And got a lot of work done.

Day Game:

If you want to go this route, the main city center around Deribasovskaya is the way to go. It's the main shopping street, blocked off to traffic and has the most hot girls walking around during the day. But even then it's not a huge amount of foot traffic. Odessa is surprisingly small. It's listed as a population of 1 million, but it felt more like a city of maybe 500,000, if that.

The beach is crowded and full of people in the summer. But just about everybody goes in groups and I'm not a fan of approaching groups during the day.

Things to Do:

Not much. The beach is tiny, full of concrete, the water is freezing even in June. The cafes and restaurants around there are awful, although there are some decent restaurants in the city center. The opera house is the only thing worth seeing, and if you've seen opera houses in five other European cities like I had, you're not missing much.

I will say though, if you're a poker player, the poker rooms here have some incredibly soft tables. Lots of tourists from Turkey, Azerbaijan, Armenia, etc. come up and spend all of their time in the casinos. For the most part they're terrible players. My friend and I took a nice little pay day off these guys. I paid for my entire time there from the winnings. So I guess I can't complain.

I will also say, if you go, get an apartment. The hotels are a monster rip off and you can get an absolutely amazing apartment for very cheap. My friend and I got a gigantic apartment in the city center, two bedrooms, full kitchen and dining room, living room with big screen TV, wifi, everything, for $80 a night.

I'm in Kharkov Ukraine right now (another Russian-speaking part of Ukraine) and I have to say this data sheet is spot on. Being a country that is not fully developed, there are a of little annoying things about the place. The biggest issue as you said is the lack of English. The nightlife is a bit disappointing (not as good as say Poland). I'm hoping the nightlife gets better when the students return. The food quality is disappointing. The cheapness of the currency is quite nice. And as you said, the quality of the girls is unbeatable. Of the 19 countries I've visited, girls here look better than anywhere else (I've never been to Scandinavia). I just wish I could communicate with them.

Anyhow I have a friend which was there and told me it is much better in smaller cities around like Mykoliev and Kherson, so he recommended to me to spend only 1 night in Odessa (The flight is to there) and take taxi/public transport to one of those cities.
Apparently there is lack of men in them and they have smoking hot girls as well. I plan to be there in October and will report my findings.

I just checked out on the internet that Odessa has a university that doesn't even seem small. I guess they even have an English language department. Or was it closed for summer?

When I'm abroad in a country where quite few people have decent command of English I always go to the university first for daygame.

Just for the heck of it, I did a search for women hosts on couchsurfing in Odessa. Even they are cute! Quite a few are downright hot! And that's couchsurfing, which isn't known for having the best selection from each country. Even their CS profile photos they are all dolled up and not wearing hiking boots or flipflops and cargo pants like you'd see from many women in other countries. These are obviously women who are quite into looking great. I can only imagine what you'd see walking around the streets there.

Entropy, why didn't you try running some online game to find English-speaking girls? I thought Ukraine is known for having a big marketplace of women trying to meet Western males. Thus all the mail order bride agencies centered there.

I didn't pipeline girls online due to lack of time. I was coming straight from Budapest, and it usually takes a solid week to pipeline girls before you get there. I did meet one of the girls off couchsurfing and although she was cute, she wasn't as cute as her pics. And when you have smokeshows walking past you every 10 minutes, it's hard to put much effort into a girl who is just "cute."

I believe the university was closed for summer, because we lived just a few blocks from it and I never saw any students walking around.

You guys have to remember: even when you do find an English-speaker, it's not like Russia, where the girls go home with you pretty easily. Ukrainians are conservative, they want a bunch of nice dates and a steady boyfriend before they put out. They're traditional. At least that's how my girl was and how she said most girls were.

Honestly, I went out four nights in a row while I was there, I did not see a single Ukrainian guy hook up with a girl he met that night. I only saw couples together. It's a very social circle oriented culture. Pretty much nobody was approaching except us. Slavic guys are really nothing for them to get excited about. The women out-number the men there, and most of the women are more educated and just as successful as the guys. So I don't see Boris pulling ass left and right.

I've run into similarly conservative cultures where one night stands aren't common. So I believe her.

Will a guy who speaks fluent Russian be as good as guy who is fluent in Ukrainian? I know that Ukrainians speak both languages but in previous threads on Ukraine there were some comments about the locals not willing to entertain or talk to you if you approach them in Russian. True or false?

Depends what part of Ukraine. In the western parts, Ukrainian is more dominant. In the south and east, Russian is spoken by everybody.

Great report Entropy. Now you compare yours to this rubbish from a previous report and you have provided some real value. There are a few basics for guys who dont speak Russian and Ill repeat it again

1. Prepare in advance by going online and working only the english speaking women
2. Get your story straight, you are not a tourist. You are there for business, potential study, etc
3. They rarely fuck on the same night, so it takes an outing or two before they spread.
4. Kiev year round is fine, Odessa you need to get the timing right, IE: when the students are in town. Avoid winter

Nope, its not as bad but its still tough going. But a lot of women do speak it as a second language. Again, go online and set things up before you get there. This is crucial.

Hookup chance in Odessa is high. Its very high. BUT YOU HAVE TO SPEAK THE LANGUAGE. Your friend is right, going to smaller towns is a good option and he is right when he says there are no men around and they rarely if ever see foreigners. However, unless you speak Russian as a minimum, you are dead in the water.

They are conservative people dude, men and women alike. Does not matter where you go, some women fuck the same night, but its rare there. Its not going to normally happen in the Ukraine and I dont think it matters if its a foreigner or local guy. They fuck their boyfriends, future husbands and husbands. They dont fuck random men unless they are hookers, and the local men would not respect a woman that puts out right away. They would think her a slut. Again, this is a good quality and for me it means the women are high quality too.

This is why I keep stressing that you need to have your story in place so that they think there is the potential for a long term thing. Once that is there, then the competition anxiety kicks into overdrive and she puts out. You need to understand that an 8 in the Ukraine is nothing special. She can go months between a decent man even propositioning her, let alone making an effort with her! So the minute she knows that you could be around a bit and you are not some sex tourist, she will drain your balls to make sure if you stick around its with her and not the 20 gazillion other 8's and 9's looking for a decent guy.

You guys are all missing a great tactical move, either buddy up with a local guy who speaks the language or travel therewith a friend. He can then talk you up and do the intros, I plan on doing this when I got to Ukraine, I have a friend in Latvia who is upper class, I'll take him with me, much less he has contacts all over Ukraine, in any of these countries get in wi upper or middle class people, men and women, they will almost always speak English and open tons of doors for you.

I haven't actually been to Odessa, what goes there doesn't necessarily apply to the rest of the Ukraine. Should you go to Ukraine in winter? hell yeah, I'm doing day game in blizzard conditions. Especially in University cities, all the girls will be in town, unlike in summer.

I have never heard that Odessa is difficult from my foreigner friends that have been there, but then again they generally know a bit of Russian/Ukrainian.

Lack of English speaking girls has never bothered me in Ukraine, 70% of the girls I approach know at least a little English, if they don't I don't care, there'll be another one to speak to a few metres down the road. Sometimes I don't WANT to speak to girls who don't know English, generally means they are lower down the class ladder.

Ukrainian girls don't fuck same night? sure they do!. The best ones are the girls from out of town who are visiting for the weekend etc, sometimes they don't like to shit on their own doorstep.

I love this country, I don't think I will ever leave unless they physically remove me. I have a constant supply of as many women as I can handle, I'm turning away 8's because I simply do not have the time or energy. I walk out of my apartment and start walking down the street, I smile at girls, they smile back(even with their boyfriends), I talk to them, take their numbers.

I'm floating in my own little heaven here
