Upholding Our Oath

Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, General Joseph Dunford in a piece titled ¨Upholding Our Oath¨ stated that ¨our individual and collective obligation during this election season is twofold. First, we must recognize that we have one Commander in Chief, and until authority is transferred on January 20, 2017, the Joint Force must remain clearly focused on and responsive to the existing National Command Authority. Second, the Joint Force must conduct itself in such a way that the new administration has confidence that it will be served by a professional, competent, and apolitical military.¨ Furthermore, Dunford urged service members that ¨the military must remain committed to the chain of command structure until the next administration comes in, and that the military should not undermine its credibility in the interim with the next president.¨

No general you have a duty to support and defend the Constitution of the United States of America and you have a duty to disobey an ¨unlawful¨ or ¨unconstitutional¨ order which includes an order to violate a citizen´s individual rights and freedoms. It is an officer´s duty to protect citizens. The commander in chief is a title that the President receives after the U.S. Congress makes a formal declaration of War. "The President shall be commander in chief of the Army and Navy of the United States, and of the militia of the several states, when called into the actual service of the United States." As Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff you assist the President and the Secretary of Defense in the exercise of their command functions, you do not have operation command of the Armed Forces.

This is an indirect plea focused on a potential rebellion within the ranks of the U.S. Armed Forces in support of citizens should there be some type of constitutional crisis or SHTF after the election and people decide to take matters into their own hands.

Good luck and God´s speed to the men still serving on active duty to be wary of Private Security Experts (PSE´s) that do not need to play by the same rules as you do; as many, but not all, will not play by those rules, nor will they be held accountable for the consequences of their actions to the degree that you will.

Fear is normal and healthy, panic and inaction are not.

Trump needs to win. We would certainly end up with some kind of constitutional crisis should Hillary win.

Imagine a sitting president or president-elect being arrested for what basically amounts to treason. Can you imagine what the members of our military would be thinking? Then the demented clown Tim Kaine takes over and pardons Hillary.

Come on, America. Even the British knew better than to keep giving globalists power when they voted to leave the EU. Now, in the US we do have more minorities who tend to vote Clinton, but we also have a higher percentage or at least moderately red-pilled men than Britain does.

Please elaborate. Is Joseph Dunford suggesting that there might be widespread unrest in the coming weeks? What is the context of this statement?

Bravo Zulu, you do not have anything even remotely resembling the rep or the post count to be coming in here with this sort of stuff.

I would advise Banks and Tamland not to touch this with a barge pole. Any merit it has is negated by the OP having earned precisely zero trust. These are dangerous times for loose talk about insurrection with strangers.

The public will judge a man by what he lifts, but those close to him will judge him by what he carries.

Just to be clear, I was not in any way advocating any kind of insurrection or violent rebellion. To be honest, I didn't even fully understand what OP was talking about and I didn't watch the video he posted.

I was just giving my opinion on Trump and the election. When I said "constitutional crisis" I was referring to the crisis our nation will be in under a (probably stolen) Hillary presidency, but I was not -- I repeat NOT -- advocating any sort of violence or rebellion. I should have probably made that more clear in my previous post.
