Naples 2016 datasheet

I figured since I spent a month in Naples back in May-June and didn’t really share my experience with the city, I might as well write one up.

Warning: I did NOT go to any nightclubs in Naples, also didn't daygame.

Basic info: 24-year-old Jamaican-American, prior American military, 5’10, slim build

Sightseeing: There’s a lot to see inside of the city itself, but Tripadvisor can tell you all of the good places to go to. A lot of the churches you’ll find are open to the public and have good stuff to see inside of them. Pompeii is about an hour drive, although there is a train, I just rented a car and went. Dope experience. Sorrento is a must see as well, beautiful town. I saw one of the hottest Italian women I’ve ever seen working in a restaurant there. Amalfi coast is a must see as well. Don’t rent a car in Naples, the driving is hectic. The only reason why I know how to drive in Italy is because it’s where I learned how to drive manual transmission lol

The city itself: full of migrants from all over, mostly sub-Saharan Africans. I never had an issue with any of them, probably because I can blend in a bit. Worked both for and against my favor though. I found it rather annoying talking with people in a train station or in a real estate agency and them treating me like shit until they found out where I was from, and it was always all smiles and curiosity from there -_-

Anyway, the city definitely has a trash problem. You can see the garbage trucks coming at 3 am for trash, but for some reason, the amount of trash that’s on the roadsides is just too much for the trucks to take in. I’ve been walking in Piazza Garibaldi and have had to watch where I was walking because there was dog shit in the middle of the sidewalk…

To avoid this, I’d say look into staying in Vomero. It has way less trash and a little bit more money put into it than the center of Naples does, especially near Porta Capuana/Piazza Garibaldi. I hear there’s also good bars in the Vomero area as well, as well as good female talent, but I haven’t spent a night out there to confirm.

English isn’t fluently spoken, and I’d suggest brushing up on basic Italian if you plan on staying longer than a week in Naples or anywhere in southern Italy alone. I’ve had many taxi drivers that wouldn’t even speak Italian, they’d speak Napolitano (local dialect). The 18-30 crowd is basically being forced to learn English (I guess that since the economy is bad they have to learn English to make money outside of Italy), but most aren’t fluent.

Food: Pizza. If you're in Naples, you gotta try fried pizza (pizza fritta) it's definitely worth it, and it's cheap (about 1-2 euro).

Daygame: I didn’t even attempt daygame outside of basic flirting with girls working in a shop or whatever, but, after spending a day in Vomero, I would definitely try it here. It’s a nicer part of Naples that actually looks like a normal Italian neighborhood inside of a city. Another option for daygaming would be to find the big university, University of Naples Federico II and hanging out around there.

Women: Standard Italian look, black hair with green, blue, or brown eyes, a lot of the women have naturally curly hair. It’s Italy, so when they go out at night they dress up and hop on their Vespas or pack into their Fiats and ride out to their destinations. IMO they're beautiful, difficult to number close and even more difficult to ONS, but they’re not impossible! Best course of action is to find a group of cool Italian guys and find out which chicks they know and go from there. Italy is huge on social circles, and the girls WILL put out, if they know someone that you know.

Outside of local women, tourists will be flooding the city around June, so that's an option as well.

Tinder works, I got several good matches but only one flag. Italians also use an app called Loovoo as well, but you gotta pay to message your matches, which defeats the purpose.

Nightgame: Most of the university students and the rest of the 21-30 year-old crowd mostly hangs out at Piazza Bellini. There’s a few other smaller piazzas (piazza=square, where all of the bars are usually located) nearby to Bellini, but I can’t remember their names. If you’re in Bellini, you can definitely find them though, they’re well within walking distance.

I used cold approaches as my go-to there. Most Napolitan girls don’t speak English well enough to have a deeper-than-basic conversation in English, so that was my biggest limiting factor. I was still determined though, and cold approached every Thursday-Saturday night while there. The number one question girls asked me was “but why are you here in Naples?” and “do you live here?” to which I’d just respond by saying “I’m looking for an apartment to buy here.” Apparently my lies weren’t good enough, because I hardly number closed any girls while out, and I consider my game to be pretty decent, and this is with 30-40% fluency in Italian.

Anyway, from what I’ve heard, the nightclubs are a good distance away and are right by the beach, if you want to try those you gotta get a taxi from the city.

Beer is cheap as fuck, I never paid more than a euro for a Birra Moretti, Heineken, Perroni, or Guinness.

Flag: I got one flag, a chick studying law from San Giorgio a Cremano. She spoke fluent English, but was obviously into black dudes. Whatever, found her on tinder, took a taxi to her town to drink with her, and got the flag the next day when she came to Naples. She was a solid 5-6 anywhere, so nothing really to write home about.

I literally was in the process of successfully escalating with one girl studing aeronautical engineering (I'm studying aeronautics) until one guy climbed the Egyptian obelisk in the square and fell off near the top. I'm sure the statue was a solid 150-200 feet tall. Once I saw that, I ditched her and went straight home, I was messed up through the next day.

Other random shit: I used Couchsurfer meetings to find the fluent English speakers that were all local Napolitans. This could be the easiest way to get your social circle in Naples going to bang out Italian chicks. Girls seemed rather interested once they realized or I said that I’m American, Italians for some reason love America, UK, and Australia. Shit is cheap overall in Naples, even food, I remember going grocery shopping and literally spending 27 euros for two full bags of groceries. Don’t stay in Porta Capuana/Piazza Garibaldi area, but there are two big ass hostels right next to the train station in Piazza Garibaldi, so if you’re trying to be cheap that’s an option, be wary though, most pickpockets chill out there.

Overall: if you’ve never been to Italy before, I’d suggest checking out one of the more touristy cities, ie. Rome, Milan, Florence or Bologna (for university chicks) first. Naples is a little sketchy at times, and isn’t pretty to look at overall (I hear unemployment is 25%, it’s so bad the spouses of American military members stationed there are banned from working in order to prevent them from taking local jobs), but if you decide to go for the sightseeing, a week would be the perfect amount of time. Naples would definitely be a good southern base for other cities (Rome, Catania, Vienna, Milan are all an hour flight away), but make sure to get a good social circle to go out with, and once that’s established, find out which girls they know and take it from there.

Italy was the first place I travelled with game knowledge (and for the attractions like the Amalfi coast, Rome, Florence etc). And Naples the first city en route to the Amalfi Coast. I know many will ask 'Why Italy?' but I wanted to test myself with the olive skinned brunettes in the traditional Southern Italy. The tough ons/casual relationship scene was well worth the reward. Great data sheet. Naples is a very gritty city but reminds me in that respect of where I come from in the UK. I remember being in the station and the concourse which is crime/pickpocket central and seeing people fall victim, knowing that if I intervened I would be getting a visit off the mafia. Don't let this out you off though, the reward is worth the harsh social circle and player conditions. Naples is the real Italy.
