So here's the deal,

I have a shit ton of miles that are about to expire and I have a good friend who's been bothering me to pay him a visit down under for ages. I know this place kind of sucks but I have travel OCD and feel the need to check it out once. Also looking to enjoy the four B's of Australia: bbq, beaches, bitches and booze.

I've read all of the other threads (took like half a day). I understand that this place is not ideal for swooping. With that said, I want to maximize my chances while I'm down there, and possibly treat it like a training experience to improve my game. A few members have said that if you can do well in Aussie you can do well almost anywhere. I doubt the accuracy of that statement, but i'm intrigued.

From my research, it actually sounds like if I'm ever going to clean up in Aussie, its going to be now:

I'm 6'1, white, American, 24, been blessed with facial symmetry and good looks, no excess body fat (working on beefing up a bit). I've been in the game for 8 years and through trial and error have finally developed a style that seems to consistently work well for me, so I'd say my game is strong (by American standards).

I can afford as long as a month with the crazy COL there. I'm not keen on burning time and money flying all over the continent. Was planning on focusing on Sydney, Melbourne, possibly Adelaide and possibly Byron Bay for some surf. Pretty much any other part of the continent is off the table (and from the sounds of it I'm not missing much).

Any updated 2016 information? Any suggestions on where to concentrate my time? Any locations that I should skip entirely? Any that I am overlooking? Not looking for specific venues, just city advice.

I'm more of a city guy, but in my past travels I've realized that sometimes hitting less international places (Adelaide, Byron Bay, Geelong) can allow you to capitalize on "exoticism"

[Australia Sucks]

My first bit of advice would be do not come during June, July, August. That is our winter. The other 9 months the weather is generally decent (of course with variation from city to city). Perth has good beaches and hot weather but it is on the west coast of Australia and is expensive to fly to. Adelaide is not that amazing, perhaps skip Adelaide if you are short on time. The weather is mediocre and the are better beaches and women elsewhere. You will not have extra exoticisim in Adelaide because many migrants live there. Adelaide makes it easier and provides incentives for migrants to come there (becaus ethey want to try and compete with Sydney and Melbourne for migrants). In Australia the only places you can have a huge exotic factor (unless you are black) are towns (excluding touristy beach towns) that have a population under 100,000 and far from major cities. Even in small cities with 300,000 people you will have minimal exotic factor.

Since you are going to Byron bay you should also hit up Queensland which is not far away, specifically Gold coast, Cairns, great barrier reef (including Brampton island) and Fraser Island. Also hit up Lord Howe Island (a few hours flight from Sydney). Please note Queensland is nice but is also flooded with tourists. Gold coast is great for running game on tourists and hitting the beach. As for the reef and the islands mentioned that is more of a sightseeing thing than game destintions.

As for game, Sydney is better for daygame and Melbourne is better for nightgame. Byron bay is for running backpacker game.

When you are in Sydney you can visit Blue Mountains to do some walking (its 2 or 3 hours drive from Sydney). If you drive an extra hour or 90 minutes further from Blue Mountains you can get a tour of Jenolan Caves. Some cool caves there that have glow worms and cool formations. Blue Mountains are green but from a distance have a slightly blue tinge to the green because the gasses given of by the Eucalyptus trees into the atmosphere have this effect. Hence the name.

I was born and raised in Sydney but have been to various places in Queensland, to Byron bay and various other coastal locations in NSW, have also been to Melbourne and Hobart. If you have any questions about anything hit me up.

Darling Harbour Sydney for day game. Summer is only a month away so beaches will soon be good destinations. Byron Bay for backpackers. Gold Coast, Noosa, Cairns. Be aware that there is no surf north of Fraser Island Qld on the East Coast. I have spent little time in Perth Adelaide and I have never been to Tasmania or Northern Territory so I can't comment.

Sydney and Melbourne beaches are good. With Melbourne you can't do beach game every day in summer because of the inconsistent weather so you alternate city and beach game. Beach towns and cities are all very quiet in winter except for North Qld which is hot all year round.

On an different note, I upgraded my tinder for a month so that I could play around using the passport feature to change my location and check out the market in different places across the globe.

Did it for some major spots in Australia (adelaide, sydney, brisbane, melbourne), not super encouraging, but there were plenty of girls that passed the boner test.

Did it for New Zealand: holy shit. I must have swiped left 3 or 4 hundred times before I found a reasonably looking girl. Bad teeth, overweight, dreadlocks, hippie look, feminist references in bio, washed out anglo faces. Ugh. After sampling cities from the rest of the Anglosphere on Tinder, I'm convinced that New Zealand truly is the bottom of the barrel for girls (excluding places like Saudi Arabia and India).

South Island topography might make it worth the trip though. I'm also huge into hang gliding, para gliding, surf, scuba, hike, etc.

In Melbourne find out which days the Victoria Market is open and go around lunch time, particularly on weekends. Go to where people are eating and drinking at the tables find a girl and ask to sit down... On sunny days the south bank of the Yarra river is good. St Kilda is good on weekends only, during the week it is a waste of time.

The CBD is the best place for weekday daygame. When the weather turns rainy (often) go to the lanes and arcades in the city which are covered from the rain and have many cafes and shops.

Surf beaches are a lot further from Melbourne than they are from Sydney, which has many surf beaches on its doorstep. Sydney is better for daygame than Melbourne. It is more compact and densely populated in the inner city and the weather in summer is a lot better.

Start day game at Darling Harbour then around CBD and Bondi. Social circle might be worthwhile if you are a good surfer. I'm not a surfer so I don't know. In summer in southern Australia I'd rate Byron first, then Gold Coast second, Sydney third, then Noosa and Melbourne about the same.

Australia is not the best country on earth for picking up nor the worst. I think Hooked On Tonics will do well for himself in a month. He is 24, fit, into outdoor sports, with 8 years pickup experience, so his chances seem very good to me. I'm over twice his age and if I can do well so can he.
