Thanks for the posts, Atlanta Man, Tayo, and everyone here who has actual experience in the field of medicine.
Sometimes I think this board is so hell bent on fighting against political correctness and SJW left wing nonsense that it pushes the "There's no racism at all ever" argument too hard, even in issues where race is very likely a factor.
Race is not a factor here. Its airline protocol.

I agree that all to often the attitude that there is no such thing as racism exists. In this case that's just not true.
Aloha!

3.) She was denied access to the person that needed help because she is a black female that looks young... nothing else [I am guessing doctors in USA are not supposed to be black females that look young...:-)].
Yea, she looks about 18, probably why the stewardess called her 'sweetie'. I'm not saying if there was or wasn't racism at play, but looking like a high schooler doesn't help.
Looking young really slows you down in life sometimes, I've looked younger all my life. I'm 27 and people think I'm 21. I can't wear hoodies or they think I'm 18.

Do you know that ...?
Do you know that she actually knows more ... you do know that right?
Even in your "great and mighty" USA, you do know that...?
You do know that ...? ---- "supposedly if she knew nothing, why ask for her input?"
You do know that right?
is the bias about her being a woman?
or is it about her being black?
.... your ignorance is appalling and nauseating!
- Did you know that...?
Seriously... did you know that or you pretended not to know just to bash her because she is a woman or black - which is it?

A fourth year resident IS licensed to practice general medicine unsupervised after their 1st year is completed. Many second year residents moonlight to supplement their income this way. Every single second year resident ,even ones that just did a Transition Year Program have a license, a DEA number, and the ability to deal with General medical issues (deliver a baby, treat MI, secure an airway, administer anticoagulants, set a line , set a nasogastric tube, stitches,ect.). She is not a Board Certified OBY GYN because she has not completed her program and taken the Board Exam, but she is a licensed physician

It was her hairlines fault not the airlines

Kona provided citations(this is why I respect and like you) and the quote here is from the citation. The FAA suggestion is fair and makes sense but ultimately it is up to the cabin crew to make the call. In this case the flight attendant chose to require nothing from a white guy to prove his medical background, but did not view the black woman as credible.I do not think Delta Airlines is a racist airline, I just think the flight attendant could have played this better-in this day and age even if you do not have a business card or a prescription pad, there is internet on the plane and you can just Google the name of the medical professional.

@Leonard, IF you are "completely fucking over it" stop coming to these threads, it's that simple. It's obvious from your select choice of words you didn't come here for a logical discussion.
