Child beauty star bears scars of ongoing sexual assault, is found dead in her home, bashed and strangled. Father undertakes a seemingly professional series of steps to muddy the evidential waters.

My money? File this in the "Is Hollywood run like a satanic cult" thread.

Some big-shot politician was taking his turn with the girl and got a little too rough. That's why the father had good advice on how to cover things up and why the investigation was bumbled and went nowhere.

This was also my second thought after the father, that they were in some child-swapping pedophile ring.

It is starting to creep me out some how much LDN and I think a like. I will be ready to type something and then has already said it.

IIR it had snowed the night before and there were no footprints leading to or from the house which doesn't rule out an invited guest or family member but does rule out an intruder.

JonBenét Ramsey Case: DA Says Former Prosecutor Erred with Letter Exonerating Parents and Brother.

Though they have not been fingered as suspects in the 1996 murder I agree that exonerating them was another weird twist in this whacked out case.

Quote:Quote:

The current prosecutor in the JonBenét Ramsey murder case tells PEOPLE that as the 20th anniversary of her death approaches, he has not wavered from his belief that his predecessor was wrong to publicly clear from suspicion parents John and Patsy Ramsey as well as brother Burke.
“John, Burke, the Ramsey family are totally covered by the presumption of innocence and are entitled to that,” Boulder, Colorado, District Attorney Stan Garnett tells PEOPLE. “If we ever change our opinion about that with regard to the Ramseys or anyone else, we will file charges and say what we have to say about the case in open court.”
But “to issue an exoneration is, I think, misleading,” he says.

I was l listening to a Stern show rerun in the car the other day where they had an FBI profiler who had worked the case on.

He couldn't talk extremely freely about it as it's still an open investigation, but...

I imagine these guys are pretty familiar with psychology and mental disorders; reading between the lines of what little he said it seems he believed the motive was Patsy was a pathological narcissist, who feared losing control over her primary source of narcissistic supply. Trust No Bitch - a woman who fears losing the best source of validation she has is a dangerous woman indeed.

And yeah, Dad was probably a pedo, too.

YMMV

I'm still convinced the father did it. The wife patsy remains a mystery. I think he gaslit her, or maybe scared her shitless.

The father is a sociopath with outstanding persuasion skills. He pretty much persuaded the Boulder police to dance to his tune, which got him off. Like using bogus DNA evidence to exonerate him, which law enforcement now regrets. He should have been locked up that night, but instead he made the police wait months to interview him and his wife, giving them enough time to look at the evidence and create excuses. Meanwhile he hired teams of lawyers and PR consultants and worked the media.

I used to be convinced that a family member or family members did it. Recent documentaries on the case have me thinking an intruder is possible. I have no idea what to think right now. One thing that bothers me is that the ransom note asked for $118,000. John Ramsey's Christmas bonus was $118,000. This seems like a very unlikely coincidence.

But why would someone break in, molest her, kill her, then sit down inside the house and write a lengthy ransom note (the pen and paper originated in the house), then leave the body and never call?

If an insider did it however (e.g., the father), the ransom note was concocted after the murder to stage a kidnapping to buy time to get rid of the body which was hidden in the basement.

My theory is he accidentally injured her while molesting her that night, and he knew the injuries were severe enough to get him busted, so he killed her to shut her up and was going to get rid of the body the next day to dispose of the evidence.

I'm pretty convinced it was Burke, personally. That kid is fuckin weird.

I read a bit about the case on websleuths which is a forum where amateur sleuths work together to try to crack unsolved crimes. Those people are very much into this shit, and most of them seem convinced that it was burke.

best theory I have heard is this - Burke did it out of jealousy over the desert. might have been an argument that went too far, kid was just 9. the semen was a red herring. Ramseys might have been into pedo stuff but if so they would have swapped their kid for others, which would explain the random DNA. Finally, Patsy wrote the letter as part of the cover up. I think this is plausible and explains all of the facts - the death, the semen, the letter, and the lack of forced entry. I'm agnostic on whether this is the solution, just think its the most complete while still being plausible.

DENVER — The older brother of JonBenet Ramsey is suing CBS and others for $750 million, saying his reputation was ruined after a television series concluded he killed his 6-year-old sister two decades ago.

In the lawsuit filed Wednesday, Burke Ramsey claims that the network, its production company and the experts interviewed in the series on the unsolved murder conspired to defame him for publicity and profit. The series, called “The Case of JonBenet Ramsey,” aired in September ahead of the 20th anniversary of JonBenet’s death.http://nypost.com/2016/12/28/jonbenet-ra...-for-750m/
