Better start that business in Japan to avoid having your job-creating pants sued of you.

This is a good idea, but could be enacted with less risk of lawsuits if you had no offices at all and simply had everyone work remotely (with productivity-based pay).

Japan is actually among the worst for productive offices. It probably takes them 14 hours in the office to accomplish what an American would get done in 8. Not only that, "don't dip your pen in company ink" doesn't even exist there -- they live in the office so they try to find a mate there too.

There have been a few attempts at my office to loosen the dress code, and I always fight them. Not because I'm a prude, but because I believe in a level of professionalism.
