Ленинград's video for Сумка is borderline disturbing:

Такого как Путин: super cheesy "music" video in which two chicks claim they want a man like Putin. Great for triggering feminists.

Песенка Чебурашки, perhaps the most famous Soviet classic.

A classic, 'Sebastopol Waltz' by Georg Ots.

Going back to gruppa Kino and Viktor Tsoi, the song Peremene (truce) who went to be an hymn of anti Soviet organizations.

This is the last song of the very popular Avant garde detective flick of 1987 "Асса", an ode to Soviet Rock, or Perestroika Rock. Below the full motion, two storylines, the main is about a pretty girl involved with a criminal in Crimea, and the other about the killing of Tsar Paul I.

And the King of Russkoe Chanson, the songs of criminals, the one and only Mikhail Krug (Михаил Круг).

A guy who spent his life singing praises for criminals and bandits, and was himself killed by a ragtag low life in his own house.

"In writing his songs, Krug used a 1924 dictionary of underworld slang, compiled by the NKVD.

In the late evening of June 30, 2002, Mikhail Krug was fatally wounded in his Tver house by unknown intruders. He died in a hospital a few hours later. In 2012 genetic testing revealed that Krug's killer was Dmitry Veselov, who was murdered in 2002 in Tver.
"

And an amazing sign of the times of Russia 90s when he is confronted by a lady asking why the fuck does he keep glorifying bandits in a country of bandits, at 8:35 ))

Nonetheless, an amazing singer and interpreter who left amazing songs. RIP.

On a more positive note, and as Disco Volante posted, Serebro and their producer Max Fadeev are really on fire lately:

Rocha, that's awesome you dig on the beatmaker for Serebro. Their songs may be heartbreak, love & other things but the beats are fire for sure. Molly(olga) from serebro with that Cosmos song is the pinnacle for her right now.

Hanna reminds me alot of her voice, very similar.

T-Fest reminds me of the American rapper Future for some reason.

..and because these dudes have some of my name in their name, Estradarada has been on my repeat list for some time...

There's just this other "it" factor for a lot of the russian pop, dance and electronic music that just pulls me in. The deep reverbs, horns, pumping beats and flowing lyrics get me hooked and I can't stop playing them.

Like this chic Marie Kraumbrury

A jealous side chick but damn those deep synths, bass and reverb that extends most bars is what I really like.
Enjoy!

Yep Rocha, while I've always considered going to Russia, stumbling upon Serebro sealed the deal with me, and I went last summer. Amazing country.

This is one of the first Russian songs I've stumbled upon. Whenever I listen to this, it makes me want to plan my next Moscow trip asap.
