Is there a good way to do this or is it just not ever a good idea?
My initial thought was that doing this shows this I'm a little more culturally tuned then the average guy. However, I feel like everytime I try to do this, the women only respond with annoyance or confusion.

Do you know for certain what language she speaks? Even if youre 100% certain that she speaks that language, you dont look cultured, you look like youre trying too hard. Also It depends on context. I say strike up a conversation in english and then comment about her ethnicity or accent or something (ie tease her about her accent or a stereotype of her assumed country, then transition into the language). Whereas if you're at say a mall and you hear her speaking spanish, that just comes off as creepy to her. It has to flow naturally in the conversation or else it comes off as forced.


Funny related story-In my first few months of learning game, I was at a small party for the spanish exchange students at my school, and I saw a solid 7/10 hispanic looking girl with a booty. I asked the student I was hosting to introduce me like the pussy I was and he just kind of laughed and said "Nah, shes friendly, you got this." I decide "fuck it, I'll go for it". I approach her and thinking that Im one suave motherfucker I say "Hola, como se llama?"(Stuttered the delivery too) and she shoots me this odd look. She says "I go to this school..." with this tone that made me feel like an idiot. I shoot my student a look and he's falling over laughing. I felt like an ass, but he made up for it by winging for me later on, even though I was still a social retard who had no game. And thats what made this situation absolutely awful to me at the time, I was still a stuttering, anxious, pussy at the time. Nowadays I'd be able to use a fuck up like that to break the ice.

Absolutely open in English everytime my friend! It is still perceved as the language to speak, and you being fluent in it can give you Bonus points off the approach if she's feeling you just a bit.

Heck even in a Japan datasheet I read that any non Japanese men should approach Japanese women in English. Then to move over to Japanese as slowly as possible. Even though Anglo culture is a love-hate kinda thing around the Globe, the English language is still the premium language to speak

Hahahahaha. I did a day game approach on this hispanic girl who was waiting at the bus stop. She looked around my age(17 or 18) gave me a look so I went up and started talking to her. I hear her accent so I asked "como te llamas", she said jennifer. After 30 seconds of chatting I start talking back to her in english. She gave me this dirty look after I said your pretty, whats your number. She made this loud smack noise with her mouth. I got kind of annoyed then just walked away.

Next time I'm definitely continuing the convo in spanish. Maybe she was just giving me sass. Anyways I get on the bus and meet up with my LTR.
