Whats the best diet to build muscle spending a week

OP there's a lot of good advice in this thread.

When I was in college, I would shop at Aldis and get a decent amount of food for a whole week in the 40$ range. Their meat selection was ok, but i'm grateful now I can buy nice cuts.

Breakfast I'm doing Oatmeal with berries and almonds.

Lentils and rice with brocoli and chicken. Take your pick of chicken.

The biggest money saver for me has been just buying unprocessed foods and making your own meals at home.

Sounds like you should be more worried about what it will take to earn more money instead of how to save it on food.

I'm with Shimmy. Why are you trying to get jacked when you can't even afford food?

Get your finances in order. I'm far from rich but I make more than enough to support my necessary expenses. I have enough to pay for my needs, savings, and have plenty left over to splurge. Groceries are the least of my worries. And I make slightly below median income for my area.

Money is your problem, but not in the way you think. Read "The Wealthy Barber" and "The Richest Man in Babylon". You probably already make enough money to support your lifestyle, but you probably just blow it on stupid shit. I'm not saying this to be an asshole; I spent years doing the same thing.

I'm a meat and potatoes guy. I spend about $150 a month loading up on groceries. I usually buy a few 10lb bags of frozen chicken breast, some pork chops, steaks, and any other meat deal that's available. I buy 10lb bags of potatoes, and don't spend more than $50 on the rest of my groceries.

Meat is what you are paying for. You can get shittier cuts for less. Just get your damn protein. You can fill up the rest of the month on Ramen noodles. They're fifteen cents for like 400 calories.

Buy as much meat as you can and supplement with veggies and carbs with the remainder of your budget.

But your first priority is money. Start building up income as soon as possible. Everything else is secondary. We are always guilty of focusing too much on secondary goals (girls, physique, clothing) and not enough on primary goals (income, lifestyle design, freedom).
