Once I arrived to Batam for work, I was happy to find existing datasheet on the forum
thread-24651.html
Thank you SP5 for getting me started.
It is slightly outdated and now after spending 4 weeks on that Island and I feel like I have a lot of things to add.
*Introduction and reasons to visit:
Batam is an Indonesian Island right next to Singapore. It is so close you can see Singapore’s skyline when the ships are not blocking the view.
It takes about 15-20 on a fast ferry to get here from Singapore. The island has an airport, but I found that prices of flying to Singapore from nearly all other SEA countries were times cheaper than flying directly to Batam.
Population is around 1 million people, and it keeps growing. North part of the island looks like a big construction ground, with many areas cleared up for building.
The island is connected with several other small islands on the south with a series of Barelang bridges, all these connected islands are called Barelang islands and all Barelang islands including Batam are part of Riau islands group.
If you want to experience white god factor and feel like a celebrity just few miles away from civilization (Singapore) go to Batam.
*Logistics, accommodation, transportation and other perks:
1 Big Barelang Bridge and the cheap seafood restaurant with a nice view
2 Melayu beach (Pantay Melayu)
3 Mirota (Pantay Mirota)
4 Melur (Pantay Melur)
5 Harbour bay, sea food cafes with live music Karaoke and view on Singapore skyline. Opens after 5PM
6 Forest Zoo Mata Kucing. Not a touristy place, but you can drop by with a date. Has some free roaming monkeys and eagles and costs only 1 dollar.
7 Nagoya. Shopping and nightlife activity center.
8 Batam Center. Center of business activity.
9 Marina bay Batam cable ski. Nice place where you can cable ski for around 25$. A lot of white and Asian singaporeans come there on a weekend. Biggest concentration of white people (Bules) on all Island. (huge sausage fest with good looking fit white guys with unattractive Singaporean girls and chubby white Ozzy chicks)
Most of life revolves around Nagoya and Batam center. Rest of the island is pretty much a construction ground, industrial ground and farm ground. Few other areas on that look like a city when you look at the map, are in reality just groups of one-two storey buildings and huts.
I am a big fan of AirBNB, but it does not offer much of private apartments on this Island. Mostly rooms, but as hotels are also quite cheap (15 to 40$) I would say this is one of the rare places where I would choose hotel over AirBnb.
For 130000 Rupiahs (around 10 dollars) you can buy Telekomsel sim with 10gb of internet. Internet is surprisingly fast. Faster than in Thailand and Philippines.
Nice places to visit for food and drinks: Harbour bay for sea food, Teras Cafe for Steak, Socialities café for drinks life music, nice view and normal local people, Seafod restaurant next to Big Barelang bridge (place looks bad, but the seafood is good, view is amazing and prices are cheap)
You can rent a Scooter for 2mil Rupias a month, which is around 150$. The traffic is busy and chaotic, so driving requires a lot of attention. But I basically had no choice.
*Language:
Batam is the only place in Indonesia that I have visited so far, but I would say English is on about the same level as Thailand, and much lower than in Philippines. Quality girls, hi-so-ish who drive their own cars and call themselves models speak better English than the rest. But it is normally the case in other SEA countries too.
*Girls
Comparing to my experience in Thailand and Philippines Indonesian are 1point below in the looks department. They are fatter, acne is more common. They do have bigger asses and tits, wear high heels more than their other Asian counterparts.
I personally disregard girls in Burkas, so it is also affecting my general impression.
Quality girls are not to be found in shopping malls beaches or walking around. It seems that they only drive around in cars and sit at home to avoid sun.
There are rare breed of girls who look very exotic and sexy, but those are hard to find and at times impossible to get next to. Which brings me to subject of horde mentality.
It seems like these people are never alone. On the beach at times there maybe 20-30 people in one group. You get a huge white god factor and everyone is making selfies with you but you have very hard time to isolate the target.
I’ve also found girls in Batam to be quite flaky.
Quality girls are constantly leaving Batam to go to Jakarta to do some modeling or to Bintan, Bali and other places with beaches for vacation (I am guessing with some older Singaporean sponsors, but I have no proof)
Very religious. I got cock-blocked by 2 different religions. Both were responsible for girls keeping their v-card up to 22 years of age. Girls were not ready to give away the V, and I was not really too excited to take it either.
Christian V girl told me that her brother is a best worshipper in their church. I wonder if it meant he can speak directly to god, but I decided not to ask.
*Game
Online game
There were less than 100 girls on both DIA and Tinder combined, and tiny amount of those who passed my boner test. After few days I have exhausted these resources.
Tinder was annoying as it was getting all the girls from Singapore. I had to spoof my location to center of the island to avoid that. I got a lot of nice matches from Singapore, but none of them agreed to visit me in Batam and visiting them was impossible for me.
My fist date was from Date in Asia, the girl had biggest ass and biggest tits I have ever seen or touched on an Asian girl. It did not result in lay due to my shit logistics, and her leaving to some distant island for 3 weeks.
Due to inability to properly day/night game and quickly exhausted online dating scene, I had to search for ways out.
Thanks to Fisto’s instagram datasheet I have started an Instagram Account about a month ago. When I arrived to Batam I had around 1000 followers and some nice travel photos, including some easily noticeable Batam Landmark photos. So I was just searching for local girls and writing to them. 1 in 10 replied. Quality was much higher. Local models with 10k subscribers were actually replying. I got couple of numbers and couple of good quality dates. But all of them left to Jakarta next week.
Day game
Maybe I am still too spoiled after Thailand and Philippines (especially Manila tinder girls) but I never encountered a single 7 during my walks in the shopping malls.
I was trying to find alternative hunting grounds. I visited college and colleges, campus areas to try and find some talent. Talent was very low. After taking couple dozens of selfies and being asked for money, I had to drop that idea.
Girls asked me if she can have 300k Rupiahs for her education. I was caught off guard, so I gave her 50k (3$) I had in hand.
Night game and venues
Night gaming was not available to me, again due to my terrible schedule and logistics. I did go out once at the very beginning and all I saw was P4P. All Nagoya entertainment district was full of bars with P4P girls only. That night I did not see a single normal girl. Shoring is an option, but not on a working trip.
Social circle game
I met one girl online, and banged her in her car on a first date. Later on I’ve executed my first social game attempt ever. 2nd time we met she was with a girl friend. I took her number. We met few days later. She was a virgin so it resulted in a blowjob. Also in her car
I had to stick to cars due to my shitty logistics. I was driven around in some ridiculously tuned Japanese and Korean cars. They tune the inside of the cars in a funny glamorous fashion, think Louis Vuitton inner lining.
*Things to do apart from gaming girls
In free time from gaming girls you can do cheap duty free shopping, play golf, cable ski at Marina bay, go to the beaches at the South of Barelang Islands.
Some of the beaches are almost on the same level with Thailand and Philippines. There were 3 beaches I’ve visited: Melayu, Mirota and Melur. I found Mirota to be the best, with clearest water, least amount of people and nicest sand. As you enter the beach if you turn left and stroll for around half hour through some rocky path, you can get to a small wild beach with no people in sight.
There are also some beaches in the private resorts at the North of Batam, but they are all surrounded by industrial buildings and have a shitty view and dirtier water due ships on the anchorage.
I did not do the golfing, but I drove in one of the golf resort which resulted in me dating their marketing manager (turned out to be a virgin too). The golf resort looked good, I guess a lot of Singaporeans come to Batam to play golf on the weekends.
*Trip report:
I came to Batam for work and it was pure luck that I was able to go out almost every day (I am an offshore worker).
I had shittiest logistics I’ve ever had to deal with. No place to bring a girl, work 12 hours every day 7 days a week. Which left me with around 4 hours of free time a day. The closest places of activity, bars, restaurants, malls and beaches were at least one hour drive away. That left me with around 2 hours of time a day available for a date or searching for new girls. Really tight space to be in. My free time was also only between 12.00 and 16.00 so the girls I dated had to be with flexible schedules or not working anywhere.
That is why I had to stick mainly with online and daygame and rent a scooter.
All the troubles aside, I still managed to go out, go on quite a few dates and get my Indonesian flag within 1st week. Due to this hardships I had to find a way to get girls online, where there were no girls on Tinder, Badoo, Skout, Happn or DIA. And find a way to use Instagram as an online dating tool to get higher quality girls.
I was basically forsed to date girls with cars only (which is not so common here).
I had a threesome like situation, when I was kissing 2 girls at the same time in a car letting them touch my dick simultaneously while I was playing with their tits. One of them being a virgin and my shitty logistics made threesome impossible. It was the closest I’ve ever gotten though.
I visited most of the public beaches on Barelang Islands and had a really great time on some of them.
I am here for 10 more days.
