If a man assaulted a woman it's easy jail time here but what if a woman didn't just assault a 'man' but a 'police man'...

4 November 2015:

25-year-old woman pushed a senior police officer into a flowerbed at Melbourne Cup before looking surprised when she was promptly led away in handcuffs.

Mobile phone footage showed the young woman, who was wearing a short blue dress, sprinting up to the policeman in her black stilettos while he was speaking on the phone.
She then shoved Acting Superintendent Steven Cooper into a bush - breaking his glasses - just moments before he was due to update the media on crowd behaviour.
But a potential plot twist emerged when the woman posted a message on Channel Seven's Facebook page that read: 'You guys forgot to mention that you told me to do it.'

That's attention hoeing for you!

Sarah Finn, 24, received an $800 fine after she pleaded guilty to one count of assaulting the senior officer and wilful damage on November 3.

Ms Finn sent acting Superintendent Steven Cooper flying into the flower bed outside the Flemington Racecourse in front of television cameras. The officer’s glasses broke in the fall.

After he fell she turned around and giggled and seemed surprised when she was quickly led away by officers.

She was seen chatting to members of the media just before the incident and Acting Supt Cooper said he believed she had made comments along the lines of “what do I have to do to get on the news?”.

“She wanted her five minutes of fame and got it,” he told Melbourne radio station 3AW this morning.

I would be smiling too if I could get away with assaulting a police man which makes global news!

I find it hard to believe my own eyes when I see that policeman who was pushed just continuing to sit in the grass limply. You would think he would at least stand up quickly and shout something at her, but he's like some sort of a mannequin...
