I suggest going to the sugar free redbull if you still want redbull. Regular redbull is loaded with sugar. That way you can fill your carb macros with something much better for you. Leafy greens, beans, a potato. Something that is much better for you. It will clean up your diet even more.

redbeard Thanks for interest. You ask a very good question.

Why am I still drinking REDBULL?

My primary focus is zero alcohol.

Today I weighed in at 186.4.
If and when my weight lost stops, I will have something I can cut-out.

I have been using REDBULL as a pre-workout. A little bottle is 10 Baht which is around than 33cents Canadian.

I don't mind the carbs. I tried zero carbs & carb cycling. I was always dealing with Delayed Onset Soreness.
My carbs are coming from REDBULL, rice, ketchup, salad & fruit. I feel my diet is clean enough for now while I dealing with my primal focus.

I like drinking coffee in the morning, and in the afternoon I drink green tea.

I like to party. REDBULL is Awesome. I will have a girl come over.
We will drink some energy drinks on ice and listen to a new album I downloaded.
This has been keeping me out of trouble.

9 days sober. Yeah!

Fair enough.

A big mistake guys make is trying to change multiple habits at once, and none of them end up sticking. There's levels to this, and it's best to build upon previous successes.

Achieving defined abs is my primary goal. I'm 7 weeks in. Cardio in a fasted sate with BCAAs is working for me. But I'm thinking about ephedrine, caffeine, and aspirin stack. Any thoughts on E.C.A. stack?

This interesting. September & October of last year, I was cutting hard and alcohol intake was almost zero.
It is funny how goals change in 6 months and how fast the time went by.

Updating this thread daily keeps me focused on my goal.

P.S. Never did find ephedrine in Canada.

Over halfway there. Only 10 days left. Keep doing what has made you successful so far, slowly make changes and don't fall to the urges and temptations. You're running a marathon, not a sprint.

realologist Thank you for the continued support. I really do appreciate it.

What has made me successful so far is the belief there is limit to how much willpower we have each day.
Willpower can increase by exercising discipline.

Once the daily allotment of willpower is used, bad decisions will be made.

There is an old fire-lookout station in the pacific northwest.
Last summer I planned to go there but was only able the complete two of the five legs.
I was unable to reach it. My knee & back got toasted.

Today I did cardio in my apartment building stairwell.
At 3:15 I went from the 12th floor to the 26th.
Then all the way down to the 1st.
Then all the way back up the 26th.
Then returning to my apartment on the 12th

Completed at 3:29. I had a crazy sweat going.
I checked the weather in Bangkok. 40'C/104'F!

This thread I have posted about my workout & diet. Questions have been raised by the forum and I'm ready for next step.

I will be going sugar-free. No REDBULL. No ketchup.

Fruit is okay.

I am wanting to get lean. My calories are low.
I will be backing off of gym-work and ramping up body-weight exercises.

-Stretching, Push-ups, sit-ups, body-weight squats, etc

At this point I want to avoid any set-backs. I have two week left in Thailand with a mini-trip planned to an Island. I want to be 100%.

This morning's weight was 188lbs. My easy weight-loss has stopped and weight has stabilized.

Nice job Swell it's good to see you stick with it. As the quote goes, excellence is not an action but a habit.

If you're going to try, go all the way. There is no other feeling like that. You will be alone with the gods, and the nights will flame with fire. You will ride life straight to perfect laughter. It's the only good fight there is.

Looks like he's in Thailand. I don't think they have the sugar free kind there, and if they do I certainly wasn't able to find it. I searched everywhere and wasn't able to find any pre workout or caffeine workout drinks, I'm pretty sure they are illegal. Their redbull is non carbonated and tastes like garbage.

Yeah, Shimmy. I haven't been able to find sugar-free REDBULL in Thailand.

Some stores do carry a European Import REDBULL.

I cut out REDBULL now. Last I drank soda water & lime.

Good work Swell.

I hope you are drinking a ton of water with all those workouts in the hot weather.

Check out some youtube videos on the correct form for all the lifts you are doing. That can make a big difference with your posture.

Elliott Hulse has a lot of videos on front squats. Your form is probably not very good with those (squatting deep with a vertical bar path) since front squats expose a lot of imbalances and flexibility issues. It will probably take a lot of work to get good at front squats but it will be worth it.

Thanks for the pep-talk, birthday cat.

I'm thinking water consumption is going well. Every three days, I buy two jugs of water (total 12000ml). Pee is looking clear. hahaha.

You, birthday cat are totally on point with Elliott Hulse. The guy is a genius.

Only 3 days left Swell. I suggest if you feel a big change for the better due to cleaning up the diet and cutting out alcohol you continue you it past the 21 days.

Those changes will make a huge change on your health for now and especially long-term.

Tomorrow I will crossing the finish line of 21 days of sobriety.

Victory!

I'm writing this now because tonight I will be on a overnight bus, then a ferry with a Thai chick going to an Island destination.

I'm feeling well, but this is only the first step to where I want to be.
The next step in being able to to control my alcohol consumption.

3 oz limit; if & when I decide to indulge.

I enjoy sharing a bottle of wine with a woman, Beer after surf session with a Bro, a vodka & Tonic with my Father, etc.
What I dislike about drinking is the vomiting, the black-out, the excessive cash spent, the fighting, etc. Good times huh?. Hahaha

Drinking & picking up women is an adventure and I enjoy the thrill of the hunt.

My number 1 goal now is get is the best shape possible.
Weight loss is not the goal, but getting lean.

I going to take my athletic ability, mental well-being and Game to the next level.

I found this thread a bit late but I am really happy you’ve made a plan and stuck to it. Nowadays we’re mostly dealing with men who are best described as dreamers. They dream about having a better body, becoming more social or wrestle with their demons… but the beaches of Life are filled with the corpses of these Dreamers. What we are lacking are Doers! No bullshitting but honest men who accept their mistakes and do the best to amend them.

I may not know you personally but I am glad for you! Keep fighting the good fight.

Romans 8:31 - 'What shall we then say to these things? If God be for us, who can be against us?'

I truly believe everything in life is a choice and I'm now able to enjoy alcohol in moderation.
