USA or Germany?

USA or Germany?

Background info: I'm 22 and until I was about 20 I was your stereotypical basement dweller omega, dropped out of university, obese, virgin, never left the house etc.

Since then I've discovered game and gone to the gym, lost weight and improved my life a lot, got some notches with British girls. I'm now ready to travel and see girls elsewhere but I'm torn between where to go first. (I've never travelled alone before and want to stick with Western countries until I have more experience.)

USA
+ Always wanted to visit there since I was a kid, I like traditional American culture
+ No language barrier
+ American girls seem to like Brits, I'm confident I can get girls there

Germany
+ I've been learning some German, I love their culture but my grasp of the language is still basic
+ Smaller country and easier to see all the cultural stuff
+ I like history and Germany is generally more historically interesting than the USA

Which do you guys think is better for girls and to get away from the UK for a while? Appearance-wise I'm a fairly stereotypical looking Brit, brown hair, green eyes, light skin, 5'8.

I would say germany, specifically Berlin since it is much cheaper than all the major cities in USA. German women also from I read from the forum are more level headed than Americunts. But if you're really interested on the states make sure you accentuate your British accent to the max. Americunts like European accent.

I have an affinity towards German women, so I'd definitely say Germany. I have no clue why someone would want to go to the USA, and even myself being in Canada, I seldom go there. When I was in Germany (Berlin, Munich, Frankfurt), English-speaking girls weren't hard to find.

In regards to this quote, his currency will likely go further in the States as opposed to Germany. Germany's main cities are pretty expensive, and due to the exchange rate, the USA will be cheaper provided he's not in a super expensive city.

I'd imagine your British accent would go way farther in the USA then in Germany. I would add however, its not exactly uncommon to hear British English spoken on the Northeast Coast.

Outside of major downtown areas, New York City area, and Cali, the US will likely be cheaper as well, though you might need a car, which might change what I just said.

My opinion on German girls is that they are nothing special to look. I'd say they are much bitchier and boring but less whorish. They are smarter and less status oriented, but at your age that's likely not to be too important. There are some good looking blondes but they're no different looks wise from what I would see with white girls in New York, Philadelphia, Chicago. Not too surprising, considering the largest ancestry in the US is German.

The USA is a huge country though, would need more info to break it down, where do you want to go the US?

I was thinking around the South like Texas because there would be almost no Brits around so big exotic status but I'm not 100% sure. The Northeast is probably the region I am least interested in.

USA if you are ambitious. Also the worst of Europe is yet to come, with the recent influx of the "refuges." I would first consider how each country would benefit me rather than the type of girls that are present.

Almost every German in their 20s speaks at least basic English, for the few approaches I've done since being here only once or twice did a german tell me she didn't speak English, since you know a little German that will probably help you. Most Germans are much skinnier than Americans and therefore better quality in my opinion. A lot of Americans think British accents are hot so you may have a better chance with your accent for awhile, but eventually your accent will start to fade so you'll have to improve your game. It really depends on what part of the countries your thinking about moving to and what you actually want to do. Do you want to travel in western Europe or do you want to travel around the States? If your planning on getting a job then the states will obviously be better for you. If you don't like Germany you can easily go to another country, as for the states theres only two borders to cross.

Why not do both?

Start with Germany first, because it's cheaper for you to get there. Since you seem to need to learn how to travel, best to do it on the cheap, before putting down more money for the plane ticket to the US.

Cataldes - out of curiosity, what exactly do you love about our culture?

I don't know about the average living costs in the US outside of NYC, LA and the other tier 1 cities but djk100 is right, Berlin for example is probably one of the or even the cheapest major city in Western Europe, plus, it has something to offer for everyone. Generally, former Western Germany (ie Hamburg, Cologne, Frankfurt, Stuttgart, Munich) is more expensive, but English proficiency still tends to be better than in the former East. People from the South (Baden-Württemberg and Bavaria) are friendlier and more welcoming from my experience, locals in Berlin often come across stern and grumpy to foreigners. On the other hand there are heaps of tourists, so...

German girls can be hard to crack and don't get a lot of love here on RVF if you've read the other Germany-related threads. I believe you'll have a much easier time in the States.

It probably comes down to:
- If you want to be in for a (mainly cultural) challenge, choose Germany.
- If you want to take it slow and be in an environment which won't be too hard to adapt to due to the same language etc, but yet has its differences, choose the US.

You are only 5'8 which is typical height for german women, lot of them are taller than that too. German women are used to guys way taller than that..

americans are more like brits, lot of short-er women in the states everywhere you go, so you have a wider pool of dating.

A young guy like yourself I'd imagine you could go to any college town in the South, maybe even go to school there.

In terms of cities,

- Atlanta if you like black girls
- Charleston had lots of hot girls from what I remember
- Houston; I thought is was pretty ugly for woman.
- Never been Austin or Nashville, check out the forum threads. Most are positive on both cities.
- Not sure what New Orleans is like these days

99% percent chance you will need a car in the south, though Britain is known for high housing costs. If you already live on your own, Id imagine you could afford something quite nice compared to what you pay there.

It also depends what you what to do while your here.

Do you like natural scenery, hiking, etc? then you could go to Denver; Salt Lake; Phoenix. The west is great for that.

Want great weather? South Florida; Southern California

Big cities? New York; Chicago.

Like American history? Boston, Philadelphia, Washington DC (gulp)

Want to do something really wierd? Live in a small town in Pennsylvania; Ohio; West Virginia. (rent is really cheap)

I'm from Germany it's nice here but if you've got the opportunity then you should go to the US. America is more exciting, it's bigger you've got more things to explore. Also way more different girls like Latinas, Asians and Ebonies. In addition to that, you will have the opportunity to meet way more forum members which is the best thing of all in my opinion.

After all you still can visit Germany any time as it's closer and cheaper.

This is Germany. These are the old hens that taught their daughters they don't need a man. Now they can't find one themselves...

I don't mind if a girl is taller than me tbh. Italians and Spaniards aren't exactly the tallest men around but they still get northern European girls easily enough, the height issue gets exaggerated online.

Mostly the historical stuff, German history is great and I feel the UK and Germany are Germanic kin, just a culture that has always appealed to me.

Thanks for the advice lads, I will start with Germany because it's an easier trip, USA when I am a more experienced traveller.
