Low trust society game

Low trust society game

I'm new to the forums, so I may be saying something entirely obvious. Anyhow, I've found that an useful framework to have when gaming girls in developing countries is that of the low trust society. While these concepts are not terribly relevant to most of the RVF audience for reasons that I will clarify below, they are important to some of us who ourselves come from low trust societies.

As the name implies, in a low trust society, due to social inequality, corruption, crime, and other factors, there is a general feeling of mistrust among the populace. Mistrust leaks everywhere. While the most visible target of mistrust are governmental institutions, even the smallest interactions between people are eroded. Don't trust police, don't trust business owners, don't trust neighbors, don't trust family... and most certainly don't trust Tinder dates.

Mistrust is present from birth. The socialization process of a girl raised in a low trust society is radicaly different from a girl raised in a high trust society. I'm always surprised how approachable first worlders are. Of course. They weren't raised in a place where everyone is out to get them. LTS (low trust society) girls are suspicious of everything and everyone. Every person they meet is scanned and ranked according to how trustworthy they are. They don't do it consciously - this is built into them. It happens in a split second, influenced by all the information that's available about that person, and can be adjusted as more information becomes available. If you're running game on an LTS girl, that split second can make a difference.

Baseline trust and trustworthiness indicators

For anyone who's running game in a LTS, the absolute first step is establishing what I call "baseline trust". Baseline trust means the girl trusts you enough to meet you (and potentially hook up with you). Regardless of the kind of the kind of personality you have or the kind of game you run, if you don't establish baseline trust, you're not getting anywhere. Baseline trust means the girl can talk about you to her friends. She can be seen with you. She can go to your place. She trusts you enough to know you're not a serial killer or a con artist. Establishing trust doesn't mean she's attracted to you, but it's the first wall you have to break down to bang her.

The reason why I'm calling this baseline trust and not simply reputation is because reputation implies a longer timespan and strong social connections. If you're traveling or doing online game, you don't have that luxury (or that problem). You have to make her trust you with limited resources.

How does one establish baseline trust? By conveying high trustworthiness. There are many indicators girls will pick up, and the more you can convey, the easier it will be for you. I'll mention some of the most common ones.

Being foreign

If you're a foreigner from a country that's more developed than the LTS girl's country, that is likely to mean you're high trust. The more developed your country, the easier it will be for her to trust you. For example, Germans can pretty much ignore all this LTS nonsense. They won't ever notice it, because girls will instantly trust them. Bolivians will have to work hard. Americans will be hit or miss, depending on other factors. But as long as your country is more developed than hers, it will be very easy for you to establish trust.

Race

Unfortunately, racism is rampant in LT societies. I won't dwell on this. But I'd like to emphasize we're talking about trust. In Brazil, I'd argue that the Japanese have it the easiest when establishing trust. They don't have to worry about portraying themselves as trustworthy guys when approaching girls.

Education

Where did you go to school? Did you go to a competitive, top ranked university? If you did, and you're chasing high quality girls, that means you went to the place all her friends want to go to or are going themselves. That implies trust.

Job

Obviously, electrical engineers will have it easy compared to social media managers.

Social activities

Do you go to high profile places? Do you dine in fine restaurants? Do you travel to interesting places? All of these help establish trust.

Networking, friends in common

If you have friends in common with the girl, or belong to the same extended social circle, others will vouch for you and grant you trust.

Online LTS game

Baseline trust is particularly important when doing online game. Girls will always swipe left on you if you're not trustworthy enough. Even if they do swipe right and talk to you, they don't trust you completely. You're just a guy from a dating app, possibly a fake. Additionally, a lot of girls are plain stupid and will suck at reading subtle trustworthiness clues that you may be communicating. To maximize your chances in an LTS, you should be obvious. Smart girls can tell you're high trust from the faintest indicators. Dumb girls will pick it up because you're spelling it out in 50 different ways.

Aside from having pictures that convey your high trustworthiness, an active Instagram profile will help you tremendously. But every little bit will help. Make sure you're displaying your university and employment information. If that's not clear enough, mention it in your profile description. A lot of guys do this and while it's tacky, it helps.

I've had a few girls ask me for a Facebook profile so they can see "I'm real". This is the clearest sign of a low trust scenario. I usually keep mine deactivated, but I reactivate it so they can check it out. Another thing some girls will ask you for is your surname, so they can Google you. In this case, having a personal website will give you great results. Making the news will be even better. If she can find your name in a newspaper article, that's rock solid baseline trust. If you're looking for a first-date bang, something like this will make a huge difference.

Reversing LTS game

If your game is tight enough and you're handsome, high status, etc, compared to her, you can pull off a reversal of the whole "establishing trust" routine. Have the girl prove herself to you. Where did she go to school? Which neighborhood does she live in? What's she doing with her life? You're not going to steal my organs, are you? Can I trust, you really? I won't bring any random girl into my condo. If you can pull this off you obviously don't have to do anything else regarding trust.

Flakiness

A lot of the flaky behavior that members complain about in South American countries can be explained by trust factors. If you have a decent amount of numbers or matches but are getting too many flakes, that indicates you have a problem establishing baseline trust. You can be attractive to a girl and not trustworthy enough. You can be trustworthy but unattractive. (If the latter, she's unlikely to set up a date with you, let alone flake). If you have this problem, try signaling more trustworthiness indicators, it can make a difference.

Calibrating trust game

The perception of trust in a society can be measured and there is a growing body of research about this subject. When traveling, you should calibrate your game according to the trust level of the society you're in. The lower the perception of trust, the more explicit you should be about your trustworthiness. In high trust societies, you don't have to stress much about any of this.

For reference, here's an up to date (2016) ranking of corruption perception worldwide (source). Generally, the perception of corruption maps inversely to trust.
