Oslo datasheet

So guys I have seen some similar treads earlier, but thought I would give it a more detailed datasheet, so go easy on me. I have been living in Norway almost all my life and I have a lot of experience with Norwegian girls and wish to help my brothers when visiting this city.

Transport:

If you are traveling to Oslo`s main airport (Gardermoen), you can either take the Airport Train to the city center or you can take the local train which takes 10 min less and is way more cheaper. You can also take bus or taxi, but that will only take longer time and taxi will drain your wallet.

It is very easy to get around in Oslo, so there is no need for renting a car. You can just buy a day pass or a week pass and can get around with the metro, bus or trolley in Oslo. Tickets and time schedule can be checked out or bought through “Ruters” app. Alternative you can just buy your tickets at several places around the town (Narvesen kiosk or ticket machines) or on the bus (more expensive). In summer time when the weather is good, it is very easy to get around the main streets in Oslo by just walking. You can visit Frogner, Bislett, Aker Brygge, Majorstuen, National theathre, Youngstorvet and Karl Johan just by walking distance. If you are in to day gaming, I highly recommend this approach.

Food & drinks:

Food and drinks in Norway are very expensive. Eating out every day when you are new in town, will be expensive. My advice is to rent an apartment (AirBnB) and make your own food that you can buy in the local store. Renting a place is not that much more expensive than a hotel room. Just let me know if you need me to list several food places where you can buy food for around 10-15 dollars (which is very cheap here).

When it comes to alcohol you should bring you allowed tax-free quota when entering the country. A bottle of Vodka in Norway is around 300 NOK and beers is around 20 kr per 0,33L in the stores. However tax-free prices will be below half of that, so bring what you can and what you are allowed to when entering the country. Alcohol is very very expensive in bars/nightclubs 10 dollars for a beer and 15 dollars for a drink. Norwegians tend to go to “vorspiel” which is a pre-party before hitting out in the clubs and bars. These pre-parties usually is at someone’s of your friends place or your own place. These pre-parties is really a good way to get to know some new girls and potential lays for the evening. This is the place to lay your stocks if you are good at gaming girls. The problem with pre-parties is that it is often driven by people’s in a social network and not easy to get into unless you know someone of the attenders. Alternative you can invite people to your hotel or apartment for your own pre-party. The Pre-parties start around 19:00-20:00 and last until you are going out. People usually drink a lot in these situations and are very tipsy/drunk when going out from 23:00 to 01:00.

Nightlife:

Oslo`s nightlife is best Thursday, Friday and Saturdays. If you are in to younger girls, Thursdays are the best time to find young students partying in Oslo. Hooking up and one nightstand is part of the culture and it is easy to be hitting some ass on a Friday night. Oslo is a small city and it is easy to get around from one nightclub to another one. Just remember that you have to be out around 23:00 on Saturday night because all places will be full and you will end up standing in a queue for several hours. My top nightclubs in Oslo is:

•Jaeger on Grensen. This place will be packed with beautiful and fun drunk girls on a Saturday night. The place will be queuing around 23:00 and full of girl by midnight. Standing in que and small talking with girls is a very easy way to get to know new people. Then hit on them later when you enter the club. Around closing time 02:00 there will be more guys left then women’s, so make sure not to wait to the end. House music and Rnb.

•Skaugum - Solli plass: A fun place with many younger girls around 22-25 old. Easy place to get to know people by talking and dancing. I picked up a 9 (almost a 10) last weekend.

•Lawo – Nationaltheateret: A place with a lot of young people

•Stratos roof – Youngstorvet: Great music and atmosphere just in the summertime. The place will buzzing and hot girls will be everywhere. Make sure you come early.

•Nox – Solliplass: Posh nightclub with many hot girls. You really need to have your game on here if you want to be hitting up the best of the best. This place tend to not let too many guys, foreigners or “different” people in. It is all about the cash and face here to enter the clun. Therefore, you should either be on the list or be there early.

Other clubs and places:

Heidis pub, The Dubliners or Eilefs pub: Easy to meet new people here.

Andys pub: If you are in to milfs.

Johns pub: Also a Milf bar or a last way out if your plan gets fucked up.

Mono: Rock club if you are into rock chicks.

Mona Lisa: If you prefer Persians and Middle Eastern women

Savoul or Ginger : If you are black. Or if you like dark haired women’s.

Majorstuen: several small pubs and party places.

Youngstorvet: several small pubs and party places (most easy outgoing people in town).

Smuget: A small alley with three pubs. A really fun place with great atmosphere, but you need to be there early. Always full by midnight.

Grunerløkka: You have many pubs and and places here (10 min from the city center). For me this place is great going out after work or having an easy night out with friends. These places tend to be really small, full of people and full of guys.

Good to know:

Sometimes if I find a girl in a club that I like I just grab her hand and take here towards me. Then either I dance or I start smalktalking and say funny things. Never ask for permission, be an Alpha male and lead. Kiss here and grab here and say let’s go to my place.

Another rule that I apply is my 5 years age different limit. Im 31, but if I find a girl at 22, my age becomes 27. That is because to big off a difference will be a NO GO for the girl.

Being tall, blond can be to your benefit. Same applies for being dark for other girls. The most important thing is to know how to talk with girls. Have your game on. The competition is high and Norwegian guys do look good, so be prepared.

Cockblocking do appear but not that common. Isolate and take her home. If she says no my friend bla bla, do not give up, just suggest nach-speil (after party). I had threesomes doing this before. Nach-spiel is common.

Daygame & dating apps:

Daygaming is an easy way to get to know people. Most people hang around at Karl Johan, Aker Brygge and Majorstuen. You can just approach them with your game/technique/method and small talk for some minutes and then ask for their numbers. After that, you should wait and then send them a text message asking for a vorspiel/inviting to a vorspiel or tell them to meet you at the club you are going to. When the weather is great people hit the beach around Oslo. Sørenga stranda, Huk, Bygdøy Allè is one of many places you can go to. Just approach girls, and talk with them.

Tinder app or Happnd app: Start early by pipelining girls. Good pictures is the key! Be cocky and do not ask for permission. Be playful, funny and not needy. Ask for her out for a drink or even to your place for some wine. Asking her to your place is not a problem. Take a place nearby you, drink a little bit, laugh and be funny. Then lead her to your place.

Hot or Not: Really easy to meet new people here. Just remember the 5 year age rule applies here also. I have some really good approaches when it comes to dating apps, just ask if you are in Oslo.

Match.com and couchsurfing: Many people on sites like this who want to know new people.

New in Oslo on facebook: the same applies here. Her you can find new people form all around the world and Noway.

Girls:

The average beauty of Norwegian girls is high. I have been in over 40 countries and i must honestly say that Norway and our Swedish neighbors has some of the hottest girls in the world per habitant. Don’t worry about getting rejected or something like that. There is a new hottie around the corner, almost everywhere you look. You can easily be hitting 7 and 8 without a problem, while you have to work harder for the 9`s.
This is my first thread here, since I am new at this forum and I am looking forward to be more apart of hit. Just let me know if you have any questions are nearby one day.

Great data sheet.
If I was 15 years younger I might want to check it out.

Thanks for this. I started out the same way as you, join up, try to drop a datasheet to contribute.

Would you mind commenting on:
* seasonal differences? Is it better for players in the winter, spring, or summer?
* language barrier? How often do you encounter guys running game in English vs Norwegian, and which do you prefer / have better success with?
* Is Oslo a good jump-off point to other cities in Europe?
* These days, is Oslo any different than usual because of Europe's "migrant crisis"?

I ask because I've been searching for cheap getaways to Europe lately and from Toronto, Oslo is consistently one of the cheapest spots to fly into. Routinely less than 400 USD round trip !

Thank you rishboy77. Remember that age is just a number and life is what you make out of it. I am out with people up to 40 years old which feel like they are 30, so do not let age be obstacle from what you want to do in life.

Chemistry, I will do my best to try to answer you question.

•Seasonal differences: From May to August. I absolutely do not recommend people to travel here in the wintertime. The winter is just plain awful, cold and depressing. It so bad that even I am considering moving to another country (USA) even though I have great career here.

Summer time is much better, weather is better, it almost never gets dark, people in the parks (which I forgot to mention), women dress more sexy and the place is buzzing with girls who just want to have fun. 17th may is the national day in Norway which is an amazing and big all day party event, so if you are here in May you should be here right by then. However, the rest of the summer (jun to aug) is the best time to be here.

•Language barrier: Absolutely everybody speaks fluently English here since it is our second language from we are 5-6 years old. I run my game in Norwegian but sometimes even I run my game in bad English if some of my friends challenge me or I just want to try another approach (like the Italian exchange student, the Spanish dolphin trainer and stupid things like that). I have many British and American friends who have moved to Norway and they actually approach in English with a high success rate. Norwegian girls are interested in talking with other people from another country, so do play on it and mention it on your Tinder profile. Do not be worried about approaching in English. I would rather not say that I am drifting by, instead say that I live here (if I was in your shoes). That takes away the pressure.

•Oslo good jump off: Do you mean connection to other cities or the experience? Norway is far up north, so it not a good jump-off point to other cities in Europe, compared to other big cities in Europe. You can find cheap tickets by Ryanair, to UK, and East Europe from Oslo, if you are traveling light. It is also easy to travel to Sweden, which I recommend.

•Migrant crisis: Norway are very liberal and an open, tolerant and socialistic country. According to Norwegian media, we do have symptoms of migrant crisis, but you do not see it in Oslo (more towards the borders). People do not speak openly about it, because discriminating people and being hateful is a no go. Just like Sweden and Germany we have been very open with our borders, and rightfully so.

•Oslo may be cheap place to fly to but remember the prices here are much more expensive than all other countries in Europe. So be prepared.

Man, I really wanna check out Scandinavia especially Norway, but my April trip only has a 1 week 1200 USD budget and my summer plans are booked for Asia [Image: sad.gif].

Norway and Scandinavia will bleed you dry, it is very expensive. $1200 USD is alright for maybe a week, assuming that does not include airfare.

If I was smart enough to have done study abroad in college I would have picked Oslo.

Seems like one of the best places to hook up when young with high quality easily and you could play the poor college student to not get bled as easily with money with other college students.

Afraid that will include the flight, plus tickets are more expensive in April.

Nice sheet, I agree with most of it. I live some distance from Oslo but I'm there quite often. Prices are high, but not as insane as they were a year or two ago for someone with USD or GBP income especially, since the currency is considerably weaker now.

Poy, we should grab a beer some time, shoot me a PM (can't PM you for some reason).

I swear to jesus, every single year around april my head starts turning, wondering where all these women came from. It`s like outta nowhere they just multiplied by 4..
Every year.

I actually think norway is one of few places where you can play the tourist game instead of saying you live there.
Many girls are into one night stands where they don`t have to deal with running into you later.

You`ll find cheap tickets to many other places in europe, though as a hub there are probably better options.

And Oslo is already multi-international, we have second and third generation arabs and africans growing up now, as well as lots of asians. You won`t notice the difference in my opinion.

Some brushing up on the bars/clubs list:
If you are not into more posh nightlife like me, i recommend hitting up Blå or Dattera til Hagen

Youngstorget also got a lot of places, without the waiting lines it would be the perfect place for barhopping. Grunerløkka a good second
And if you happen to choose grunerløkka you might want to check out the Vulkan Oslo area, it got a bunch of clubs and places to eat.

Skaugum, Stratos, Nox and Lawo will have plenty of young hot girls indeed, i just don`t like the atmosphere. Though you might..

Sawol (not savoul) is not open anymore, if you are black you might want to check out Cafe Sør

Mono does not play much rock music anymore (tho easy to hookup there)
If you are into rock chicks there`s others, Kniven, Oslo rock inn ect cant remember names right now

I might edit this when i get back to Oslo

Oh, and if you want to tell girls you are staying there for a while and play the boyfriend card, Sukker.no website is probably the largest one in norway.

Good datasheet Poy

And a last thing, Oslo/Norway can be done on the "cheap". A lot of norwegians have been backpackers themselves, they know that culture. Not to mention, as students they are pretty much always broke anyway.. Budgeting is, or has been, normal for most of us (even though we are all supposed to be rich, funny how that works)
But it is way better if you bring a fat wallet...

Can we get an example of prices from those on the ground?

Curios to see what exactly "expensive" really means.

Cheap kebab: 5 dollars
Cheap chinese food: 12-18 dollars
Cheap indian food: 10-18 dollars
Cheap burgers: 5-10 dollars
Midrange burgers: 12-18 dollars
Midrange in general: 20-30 dollars
Fine dining:40 dollars +++
Subway sandwitch for the small one is like 6 dollars

Cheapest beer 0.5L is around 6 dollars. Most expensive probably 15 dollars. Normal prices around 10 dollars.
Wine.. around 10 dollars a glass, double that in fancy places
Shots or drinks are at least 10 dollars, double in fancier shits..

Hash: 10 dollars shitty, 15 dollars decent/good
Weed: 12-13 dollars shitty, 15-20 dollars decent/good
Cocaine: 120 dollars a gram, probably stepped on like a rug
Moonshine 96%: 1 liter i am spitballing like 30-40 dollars
1 Liter vodka: 30 dollars
Beer in store 0.5L: 3-4 dollars

$30 for vodka, then you have to buy smuggled Polish vodka. In the store the cheapest is like $45 for 1 liter.

I can add:

Big mac meal: $12
Taxi, nighttime weekend: Minimum $18. $40 for 8 km trip
Metro/Bus ticket: $4
20 pack cigarettes: $12

Norwegian prices is a good conversation topic unless you're trying to impress a posh chick. Norwegians love talking about how expensive Norway is, lol.

I can add, if you came to Norway when the oil price peaked and USD hit rock bottom a few years back, that Big Mac meal would have been $20.

From all my traveling I found that the most beautiful girls were in Oslo.

Can't understand why that country admits so much Somalis though they really polluted night-game with their screaming and hustling drugs.

As mentioned the food is very expensive in 2012 last time I went a Burger and fries at TGIF was 32 USD without a drink.

Take the train/subway on a nice day to that lake in the northern part of the city and chill out at the port, if you catch a sunny day it's marveling.

I hit bad weather in July also like 16 degrees and rain it was cold.

Thanks for the feedback.

Youngstorget and places around there is actually the best place to be some times. The atmosphere is indeed better there compared to the other places i mentioned. For me Youngstorget has been really bad lately, so I am just exploring other places. I think it will be better when the summer comes. You really should try Jager, really good lately with a lot of girls. Where do you prefer to hang out at Grunerløkka? It`s a great place to hang out on a Friday evening, but I just can`t stand the 3:1 boy girl ratio, which I have experienced many times at some places. Bar Vulkan is also a good place.

I would not say mainly, but yeah they throw a lot of theme nights at that place like persian parties and so on.. And they play mostly R&B and hip hop which is popular. But nothing compared to other cities like LA, Gothenburg or Stockholm. In Stockholm you even have the Persian party boat called Atish.

18 year olds dont really have many options, almost all places are 20++
Besides, those 18 places are awful. Meet them online or in the park or whatever.
But if you insist, Møllers, Studenten, Trompeten, studentersamfundet, studenten, chateu neuf.. not sure which ones are still open and/or legit
