I wanted to ask which are the best cities to visit during the summer in EE , within the European Union.
I remember that last summer I visited Kaunas(Lithuania), during the end of july and it was one of the worst decisions I could ever make..¿Why? The city was a ghost town..the main streets were mainly transited by old german/brithish tourists.
There're sociological reasons about it, like for example that most of young people leave the cities during summer time to travel, work abroad..or just go to their villages because Kaunas and Vilnius have strong student life.
I didn't visit Vilnius but people told me that it's kind of the same...the only place that it's worth visiting during summer is Palanga(it's the so called Ibiza of the baltics).
I think that there's a very important "timing" that we need to have in mind when visiting a city.
