NFLer Proposes By Mail, Gets Shot Down, Wants Ring Back

Dallas Cowboys receiver Roy Williams is going to court to get back the $76,000 engagement ring he gave to a former beauty pageant winner.

In February, Williams proposed to his girlfriend, Brooke Daniels. When she turned him down, Daniels didn't return the ring. According to Williams' affidavit that was filed in a Texas court last week, he asked for the ring back but was told by Daniels that she had lost it. An insurance investigation later revealed that Daniels' father was in possession of the ring.

What a faggot. The author, that is. Instead of bashing the trashy whore that attempted to steal an $80k rock, he mocks the NFL player for proposing by mail. Maybe the footballer had his reasons, who cares. Exhibit A for the origins of shitty female behavior.

I agree that she's a lying, sneaky bitch for trying to steal the ring by saying she "lost it"....however, no man should be giving women that much power and value...its beta!! I don't care if I can piss $80,000USD on a bottle of wine or a ring...it's like buying your way into prison...men always have more to lose in marriage than women.

Some guys can be great ball players, that does not make them great with the ladies, it has the opposite effect; easy pussy from groupies and fans takes their game level so far down, that bitches like Daniels can play them into the end zone easily. Serves him right....sad to say.

He proposed to her and a ring is given on the grounds that we will get married. The ring represents marriage right? You (Brooke Daniels) decided not to marry me. So I'll take MY ring back.

In most states the engagement ring is a conditional gift to the woman.
CNN Engagement Ring Law
Courts have ruled that if either side terminates the engagement then the woman must return the ring. The main exception is if they guy gives the ring as a holiday present.
Engagement Ring Law
Of course judges have discretion, and in some states may rule differently.
Delaware Judge Lets Her Keep the Cheater's Ring

It is amazing in the first link how many women posted saying they would keep the ring, even after reading court cases where the guy won the ring plus legal fees!

how could they prove it was an engagement ring? seems to me a guy could buy a nice ring for his girl, then she dumps him shortly after and now he wants the expensive ring back. To much intangibles and word against word for my taste.

if a guy proposes to a some gold digging whore than its his own fault and thats what he gets in my opinion.

It's not amazing to see how many women posted they would keep the ring, that is expected of women. Amazing would be how many would voluntarily return it without being chased by a threat of litigation.

If you have not learned by now, women should NEVER be trusted to do the right thing. They are out to please their own ambitions. That's why so many states have laws in place gor it, and most favor women; so, be careful.

I never understood why men still want to marry greedy, entitled American women.

He is a fool for doing this. If you are going to get married. Make sure that she is going to say yes. He was tricking off money on her, and her brother. Obviously she didn't respect him. You can't buy it. I read that she is now dating some college baseball player. lol

He he. Years ago, my mom and I were at a department store, paying for our purchases. My mom remarked at how pretty the cashier's ring was. The cashier replied that it was from her former boyfriend and that the ring cost $300. She said it with an air of triumph. At that time, I couldn't fathom how an unmarried man could spend so much money just for a girlfriend. I thought, "O.K. if she was your wife that might be all right, but she's just your girlfriend and could dump you at any second which she did."

The worst thing about it was that she wasn't some kind of supermodel. She was slightly attractive, maybe a 6.

The entitlement mentality has reached upwards of epic proportions when guys are buying average women jewelry and gifts up to hundreds of dollars. With this kind of beta behavior by guys, every woman will be expecting some kind huge special big fat thousand dollar ring just for dating her!

Hello.
