If we are throwing away stats, I will point out that none of the female I have seen ,over a lifetime, purchasing a car, had no knowledge with regards to fuel economy (or know how to look for it) or service cost ("Doesn't the man take it to the garage?").

Boot space - important, I'll give them that.
Easy to park - classic female stereotype, isn't it?
