Best place in China to game?

Hey,
I'm going to be teaching English in China. Any suggestions on which city would be the best choice?
I read girls in Beijing, Shanghai and maybe Guangzhou are more open-minded than girls in other party (I don't know if this is true or not) .
Thinking of Guangzhou as I have a few friends there. But, I'm open to suggestions.
Also, I'm going to be teaching adults. If I date a student (over 18 of course) is that illegal? or will I be deported?
Cheers guys.

Seems to me the most logical choice would be Guangzhou seeing as you have friends there. Knowing other people right off the bat, locals or not goes a long way.

China is pretty hard to sum up. It is best understood on a case-by-case basis. The variety of experiences a person can have are vast, and largely dependent on where they are located. But it's definitely true that outside of more modernized cities, casual sex is less common, at least in the circles that a Westerner will likely gain access to.
As far as choosing a city, it would be a mistake to take our advice on the matter. You need to do a ton of reading (and ideally an exploratory trip). However, if you would like advice, please post a detailed list of what you are looking for in a city as well as what you are looking to avoid. Information about your short-term and long-term life plans would also be helpful.
I can only give advice as good as the details you share about yourself.

I didn't like China with the exception of Chengdu which I briefly went past. Most people I've met that have been to Chengdu love it also.

Sichuan is a great place to game.
think of chengdu or chongqing. The girls are probably the most beautiful in china, but hygiene could be improved.

Second what Suits says: it depends on a few things about what you want.
What I'd also include: absolutely do not go to a 2nd or 3rd tier city. Don't do it man. For example, where I'm living has 8 million people, but zero online game is possible. No OKcupid, POF, Chinesecupid, whatever.
Quick answer for someone who would be coming to teach English.
If you love hot, humid weather and like shorter, thinner girls. Go to Shenzhen or Guangzhou. Don't overthink, book a ticket and go to those 2 places for 10 days each, figure out which you like, find a job teaching at a training center, fuck a lot of girls.
If you want something not tropical, but hate winter, go to Shanghai. Possible other options include Hangzhou or Xiamen. But if you are set on gaming chicks, Shanghai is the top choice for not tropical, no shitty winter, good area, lots of money, girls all over China go there.
If you can handle winter and bad air pollution, go to Beijing. But seriously, there is more money and fun in the south, no winter, you don't have to breathe bad air pollution etc.
For example, this year during LiDong, which is the first day of winter in the lunar new year, all the farmers around my city burned their fields, all the husks of corn, etc. There was a bad weather system here that made all the air stand still, no wind for a few days. The PM2.5 was 1500. Inside my apartment there smog.

my rankings are:
1. Beijing = Shanghai = Shenzhen
What you put first depends on what you are looking for. Beijing is the ugliest of the three cities, has the worst pollution and the gruffest population. On the other hand it has by far the most culture and history, the people are less fake and it has a cooler vibe. The girls there are from all over the north of China, which means they are taller, have lots of T&A and are very down to earth. Beijing is like China's New York. Shanghai is the prettiest of the three cities, it's got the most temperate climate and has the most ex pats. The women in Shanghai come from all over the country and have the classic Chinese look for the most part. They are probably the hottest but are also the most aloof and high maintenance. Shanghai is like China's LA. Shenzhen is the newest of the three cities. It has the best subway system, is right next to Hong Kong and has the least pollution. The girls there are mostly from the south and are generally short, petite, less educated and less westernized than in Beijing or Shanghai. There are virtually no locals in Shenzhen and the population of migrants gives it a Las Vegas vibe but with the industrial power of a Dallas or Houston.
4. Guangzhou
Shenzhens climate, mixed with Beijings ugly. I just don't see a reason to live here if you could live in Shenzhen. Guangzhou is Shenzhens older sister, who's popped out three kids and let her tits sag. If you stay long enough you might find more culture and history but it pales in comparison to the capital. Also, online game sucked in the south for me. Much less quality, quantity and English.
5. Chengdu
We're no longer in tier one and it's easy to tell. The public transport falls off a cliff in Chengdu compared to tier one. It's smaller, has the best food but you lose a lot of comforts when you fall out of the tier ones.

I like the lifestyle and vibe in Shenzhen and out of all Chinese cities I have been to its the only one that I would ever be able to live long term in.
Saying that though, GZ is beast of a town. There is more money, action and trouble there than in any other Chinese that I know. I could spend quality time there, but to live there would be a test of patience.
Not a fan of Shanghai, its alright and probably has the most liberal women in China.
Xiamen grew on me actually, I remember posting a long time back that I didn't like it but now I have changed my mind slightly. Its in a good location, and the people in that part of China are lovely. Quanzhou actually was a lot of fun too, the stereo-typically Chinese city of bikes, trikes, taxis and cars driving all over the road in any direction they feel like.
